What is the ''cover bottom'' plate for?

Samsung lcd 32 inch tv Model LE32B450. In the packaging is a black plastic plate with FRONT written it. Measures about 7'' X 2''. Have racked my brains and scoured the manual but still cannot find its purpose. Shown in manual as ''cover-bottom''. Anyone help? Thanks, Peter

Dont know this exact model, but I own a Samsung and so does my father so this proably applies:

The cover plate is supplied for use when the TV is wall mounted using a VESA mount secured to the four holes on the back of the TV. When wall mounted, the normal stand is removed and this leaves a bit of an unsightly "hole" in the case at the bottom. The cover you mention is then secured in place of the stand to make the bottom of the TV nice and neat.
You may find there was a separate leaflet in the box the TV came in detailing this aspect, which is why it isnt mentioned in the manual.

Just do a hard reset to this set and check. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 10 minutes or so. This must make it a hard reset.

How to make my My SAMSUNG Le32b450 turn on?

if total dead (nothing) follow the cord inside the set (note that some models have a master on/off on the rear of the set) to the line fuse that it goes almost directly to.

Next step if able to is inspect the power board for signs of damage including burnt parts or puffy filter caps.

Then the real way is to measure voltages into the power supply and out of it--some people are not able to do this--if that is you consider having a tech or shop look at the set and get an estimate.

Wow that is not good. Sounds like you should just replace the whole power supply. The model is a UK model so I would look on EBAY for parts;/

I have three black circles, and some color streaking at he bottom inch of my RCA, LCD tv

that is usually caused by cleaning the screen with windex the windex runs down the screen bewteen the screen and plastic frame and actually seeps inside between the screen layers. Eventually it may go away by itself if the circles are not too bad but in most cases the damage is permanent. It can also be an issue called screen delamination which there is no fix for.
