Looking from the front of the printer. Unclip the left hand cover from the back and the right hand cover from the front. At the back you will see four screws holding the back cover on. remove these along with the back cover.Then you'll see two screws at the back holding the grey top cover on, remove these and the one screw at the front . Remove the top grey cover and in the middle of the printer you'll see a black plastic box, this is the scanner.

A piece of paper stuck in the duplexing unit and was not apparently visible to release it. If you take out the paper tray and upend the printer, you will find a green release handle on the bottom of the printer which drops down the duplex compartment so the paper can be released. Only took 20 minutes to find so I hope this helps someone somewhere

I have an HP 1320 laser printer. When printing multiple page reports, it may print a few pages, then the attention light comes on and stops printing. Sometimes there is a paper jam, but mostly I just press the button and it solves the issue. It happens several times per day.

i was printing in hp laser jet 1320n.....it was all going fine..but suddenly the paper got stuck in the rollers, while pritning a job. the paper is still stuck and just doesn't budge. what to do to release the paper? i have to yet take prints and am against a deadline!!????
