Question about Philips SA3025/37 Flash MP3 Player

I have the philips 3025/37 2gb gogear, i used it last week and i went to charge it and nothing happens, i pressed the reset button and still nothing, no charge and not coming on, any suggestions?

Either the battery or the ribbon cable that runs from battery to circuit board is bad.

Hi,

Please follow the below steps and check if that resolves the issue:

  1. Press down on and hold the "Power" button on your Philips GoGear MP3 player.
  2. Press down on and hold the "Volume Up" button on your Philips GoGear MP3 player. Continue to hold both of these buttons down for three consecutive seconds. The MP3 player will turn itself off.
  3. Press and hold "Power" until your Philips GoGear MP3 player turns itself back on. Your GoGear will no longer be frozen and you can use it as normal.

My Gogear Vibe will not charge. It also will not turn on when not plugged into the computer. I cannot access the "charge and Play" option for charging. The language randomly changes between turn-ons from...


I had to re-boot my computer not long after plugging the Vibe in to add some music and recharge. When the computer rebooted it seemed to be dead.

After reading the above I pressed the reset button. It came up again.

Now, here's the crux. After it went through its language questions the recharge message said: Charging. Do not unplug. (Or similar.)

I suspect that the Vibe was deeply discharged. I haven't used it for a while and don't recall recharging it after the last use so I'm not surprised to find the battery deeply discharged.

In future I'll be more careful to read its little messages when I plug it in.

My Philips GoGear MP3 Player is stuck


Been using this for a few months. Froze up on same song while on vacation last month, and continued to play same song on repeat until battery went down. Now is frozen with "Do Not Disconnect" as it was being charged on my laptop. Attempted to unplug and plug back in and Windows gives DO NOT DISCONNECT!!!!!

I am having the exact same problem!!!!!

Goes white when turned on


try turning it on and leaving that way until the battery is fully discharged.

After that, try connecting it again.

New GoGear Vibe will not turn on after first charge!


This is not a solution to fixing the mp3 player, but I no longer need assistance, I returned the product for a refund.

My battery died ,it won't turn on and the computer can't see it


It could be a hardware issue requiring replacement, but here are the things you can try to narrow it down:
1. Make sure the hold/lock is not engaged
2. Reset the player
3. Run an Updated using the latest version of the Philips Device Manager from Philips website
4. Run a Repair in Philips Device Manager

Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.


If these methods fail, call Philips to see if you are still in-warranty.

Two separate issues:
1)

Enter your model #, click on your model #, and go to the Software & Drivers section

Try a different set of headphones. If the new headphones do not resolve, then the mp3 player needs to be replaced.

Phillips GoGear not turning on


Make sure you back up all songs on the GoGear before attempting this solution.

1) Back up all files on the GoGear
2) Open up Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips)
3) Click on the Repair Tab, and look for a msg that says connect the player while holding the volume + button
4) Disconnect the GoGear from the computer and turn the GoGear off - hold in the volume + button and continue to hold it as you reconnect the GoGear to the computer; after holding the volume + button for up to 20 or 30 seconds, a window will open up saying that your device is being repaired (now you can let go of the volume + button); after the repair is successfully complete, your GoGear will be good as new

Now you can do the firmware upgrade that will prevent this problem from occuring in the future. Open up Philips Device Manager and click the Update tab. This problem was caused because most GoGear's were designed for Windows XP with Media Player 10 (which is no longer the latest standard).

The same thing happened to me. I contacted Philips and they sent me this solution, which worked for me. Question My GoGear has no power/no display even connected to the power supply with the AC adapter. What should I do? Answer Do a soft reset by pressing and holding the Power On/OFF button and the volume + key for a couple of seconds. Then connect your GoGear to a power outlet with the AC Adapter to charge the player again for around 30 minutes. Try turning the unit back on and see if the display appears. If the display is able to come on again, keep the player connected for another 3-4 hours until it is fully charged before use, else contact our Customer Care Center for assistance.
