If you are installing Adobe Flash Player as an upgrade, you have to make sure you don't have prior software in "programs and features". If you have Adobe Flash Player software uninstall it and restart. You can download lastest version here:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
Make sure you are out of all apps,ie:Internet Explorer, MSN messenger, facebook, etc., anything that accsseses internet. When you go to download, you may have to allow Active X to run, A yellow pop up bar. While downloading, if you are in anything that is interferring with download, a box will pop up with a list so you can minimize download, get out of whatrever and come back and finish download.

I have downloaded and installed the newest version of mp3 rocket, i keep getting to the "Flash player screen" i can download and install correctly the flash player but i keep getting the same...

Installing Flash Player can be a little tricky. here is the web site to download. You may as well get the player before you try the rocket again;
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
First of all, if you have any prior versions of FLASH PLAYER, reader, etc. is fine, uninstall before you install this. You can uninstall in programs and features. Click on the download then, get out of all apps you're in,ie; Internet Explorer, etc., also make sure you"re not signed in to mail services like "live Messenger or Yahoo that are accessing the web. When you are downloading click next and allow all things that come up to run. If something is interfereing with the download, a window will pop up and list those items. You can minimize and correct then come back, see that item missing from box, and continue. when all is finished, restart system. After restart go to your programs and features and see if Adobe Flash Player 10 is now in your list. Now download your rocket.

Cannot install adobe flash player

(1) download flash for firefox, but DONT INSTALL YET! (2) right-click firefox, select PROPERTIES. (3) click on COMPATABILITY tab. (4) select the RUN PROGRAM IN WINDOWS XP SP2 MODE. (5) click APPLY. (6) click CLOSE. (7) do the EXACT SAME for the FLASH PLAYER file you just downloaded. (8) now right click the FLASH PLAYER INSTALLER and click RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. (9) goto the firefox shortcut and right click and select OPEN FILE LOCATION. (10) right click that file and look for the RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR, IF it is there then click it and run direfox, if not select OPEN FILE LOCATION AGAIN. (11) then right click it and RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.
NOW GO TO YOUR FAVORITE FLASH SITE, eg http://www.pogo.com or whatever, and you'll see that you can have your favorite browser AND flash, without having to run INTERNET EXPLOrER.

I have windows xp on my computer and I can't uninstall adobe 9.1.1, how can I get it off my computer?

Due to recent enhancements to the Adobe Flash Player installers, you can now remove the player only by using the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller. To remove Flash Player, simply download and run the appropriate uninstaller for your system using the steps below.
  1. Download the Adobe Flash Player uninstaller:
  2. Save the file to your system, choosing a location where you can find it (for example, your desktop). Macintosh users may need to open or unstuff the .hqx file.
  3. Quit ALL running applications, including all Internet Explorer or other browser windows, AOL Instant Messenger, Yahoo Messenger, MSN Messenger, or other Messengers. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make certain no applications are still in memory which might possibly use Flash Player.
  4. Run the uninstaller. This will remove Adobe Flash Player from all browsers on the system.
Note: The uninstaller cannot remove files currently in use.
If you have any instances of the player open in your web browsers, instant messaging clients, stand-alone SWFs, or projectors, then the uninstaller will complete but some files may not be deleted. If this occurs, then close all of your applications and run the uninstaller again to ensure that all files are removed.
Note: Internet Explorer users may have to reboot to clear all uninstalled Flash Player ActiveX control files. If you're not certain, select the "Show Details" button in the Flash Player uninstaller. If there are any log lines that begin with "Delete on Reboot..." then you'll need to reboot BEFORE running the Flash Player installer again.

Can't dowm load flash player

If you have problems installing Adobe Flash Player2.gif, follow the troubleshooting steps below. If one step does not correct the problem, move on to the next step. After each step, you may want to restart your machine to ensure that your changes take effect before moving on to the next step.

Uninstall all previous versions
Before you install Flash Player for any Windows browser, uninstall all previous versions. For instructions on removing the player, please see "How to uninstall the Adobe Flash2.gif Player plug-in and ActiveX control"
at this link...
http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/141/tn_14157.html

Note:All applications must be closed before you run the Flash Player uninstaller. Quit all running applications, including all Internet Explorer or other browser windows, and all Instant Messenger clients. Check the Windows system tray carefully to make certain no applications which might possibly use Flash Player are still in memory.

After you have removed previous versions, you are ready to download and/or install Flash Player.
2. Download Adobe Flash Player Flash Player is available for download from the Adobe Flash Player Download Center.
3. Troubleshoot Adobe Flash Player for Internet Explorer Before installing Flash Player, please check the following browser settings:
Internet Explorer ActiveX settings Browser security settings should be chosen by you or by your system administrator. For single users who do not have an administrator, the Medium: Default Level allows you to view Flash content. For any Custom Level, ensure that both the "Download Signed ActiveX controls" and "Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins" options are set to "Prompt".

To change your security level:
  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Choose Tools > Internet Options.
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Select Custom Level.
  5. Find the section "ActiveX controls and plug-ins".
  6. Set ' Download Signed ActiveX Controls' to Prompt.
  7. Set 'Run ActiveX Controls And Plug-ins' to Prompt.
If you are having trouble installing, make sure that your Internet Explorer security level is not set to High or to a custom level that does not allow viewing of ActiveX controls.
Windows Vista installation failure On some Windows Vista systems Flash Player may be installed, but will not display Flash content. In some cases updating to the latest Flash Player using the included utility can correct the User Account Control settings that cause this problem.
To run the utility, find your installed Flash folder:
  • Right-click C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\FlashUtil9d.exe
The letter changes with each Flash version, so may be "FlashUtilb.exe" or "FlashUtile.exe"
  • Select "Run as Administrator"
  • Follow the steps to complete the Flash Player installation
  • Restart your computer
Computer user permissions User permissions determine whether or not you are allowed to install ActiveX controls or plug-ins. If you don't have Administrator access to Windows NT, 2000, XP, or Vista you may not be able to install Flash Player successfully. Administrative privileges are required for the Windows system registry and for the C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash folder
