check to make sure you have it set on the right printer by find printer... if that is okay check your ink levels and make sure they are in properly... you might also want to try restarting the printer and if none of those work you will have to try and uninstall the printer and then reinstall it....
Try removing your printer cartridges and then the print head from the printer. If the printer powers up with the print head removed, then the print head is either shorted or clogged. If it's shorted out then you will need a new print head (usually cheaper to just buy a new printer). If you can clean the print head without damaging it, sometimes it will work again. Usaully a good 24 hour soak in alcohol or a cleaning solution will work.
Hi, I have fixed my problem by sheer perseverance and obstinacy... Every time I tried to print a dvd label it came up as an error...the arrow indicator marks on the type "B" caddy were not in the right place... by centering the caddy into the printer tray about 1cm...approx 1/2 inch deeper then the arrow marks, the printer worked fine...this is a bad mistake by Canon...as they repeatedly state not to push the tray further then the marks... all is well that ends well... cheers haitchhcee
