Can I just take the lid switch off of washer LSQ9110KQ1 and bypass switch by connecting wires

Yes you can short the switch by connecting the two wires allowing the spin cycle to run. This is a safety interlock switch which will apply the brake and stop the spin cycle preventing operator bodily damage to the from pinch points of the tub. The switch is cheap and should be replaced if defective. However, you can temporarily short the switch to use the unit until you obtain the switch. Make sure you turn off the machine if you want to open the lid before the wash cycle is complete. You may have two wires and three connectors on the switch unless one terminal is cut flush to the switch housing. Note the location of the wires on the switch, C= Common Pole N/C= Normally Closed and N/O = Normally Open (you can see the designation on one side of the switch). Your switch should be connected to C and N/O which will make a connection when the lid is closed.

The dishwasher moter is running when the door is open however no washer is present. dishwasher does not go through a cycle it just keeps running

It seems to be a Safety Switch. Is there any Leak? Check Properly specially into the Base of the Dishwasher. I have seen many Times that could Turn OFF the Safety switch.

Turn off and lean the machine back at 45 degrees, you may see water come out the base. Wait for it to dry out then try again.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Heller dishwasher error 004

Hi all, this error (004) means that there is an overflow....To solve it do this:
1) Disconnect the power to the dishwasher
2) Remove the left cover (to do it remove all the screws..2 are located under the top and 3 behind the front lower cover)
3) Dry very well the bottom plates where is the motor and the electrics wires.
4) The overflow switch is a floating contact, so check that there is no water under it. (You can check it pushing gently the contact).
Before reinstall the cover check that the dishwasher is working fine!

Kenmore elite dishwasher

I had the same problem when I bought it and it just happened again; the problem is solved by ressting the control panel: Hi Temp ---> Heated Dry two or three times. It kind of goes into a testing cycle and the clean blinking light goes off.

Sorry I cannot help without the make and Model number. So many different kinds of Dishwashers out there, and I am not sure what country you live in to even venture a guess as to what kind of dishwasher it is.
