My laptop does not give out a sound. I have already install sound driver but still its not work. I have try to install virtual sound drive but still its not work. can somebody help me about this?

try going to device manager and try to see there if your sound card is in the list, if its not then your sound card is defective. by the way, did you install the right driver for your sound card. virtual sound drive wont work if you have the wrong sound card driver and a defective sound card.thanks.

Hi, I have recently purchsed HD502HJ SATA drive (500 GB with 16 MB Cache) at system boot there is head clicking sound. some times it hangs and not boot and take some attempts to start. so far it bootup...

That clicking is almost always the sound of a hard drive failing. It is the sound made when the heads attempt to park. You may have purchased an old or a defective drive. If you are able to get this running, immediately back up all of your data to a flash drive to preserve it because there is no guarantee the drive will continue to work the next time.

No sound and neither disc drawers work.

Hook up just one of the dvd drives and see if the BIOS detects it. Press F2 to go into the BIOS when you first turn on your computer. Setup the defaults in the BIOS. If it detects the one drive, then let it boot up into windows to see if you can get the drive to work. If you can or can't then try the other drive and see if you can get that one to work. This way your trying both at different times to see if you can get either or both to work.

Make sure the jumpers on the back of them are set to master as your trying both of them one at a time. If you can get both of them to work seperately, then the next step is to try both of them together buy setting the top drive as the master and the bottom one as the slave.

If you can get both of them to work then that means the drive is good, if one or both doesn't work then you knowhttp://www.fixya.com/PostAnswer.aspx?thid=4612444&prdid=516656&ref=unsl one or both drives are bad.

As far as the sound goes, make sure its enabled in the BIOS and then go back into windows, If you don't see the speaker in the bottom right hand corner and still no sound, then go ahead and download the latest driver for your sound located here:

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&cs=28&l=en&s=dfb&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_3100&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid=

Under the audio option, download and install the Sigmatel driver. If after you download and install that driver the sound still doesn't work, then the sound chipset on the motheboard is bad and in that case you'll have to buy a new sound card.

Acer Aspire 5570 makes unusual sound constantly....

Typically that sound would be your hard drive or CD drive. If you don't have a CD in your drive, your hard drive is probably working overtime. You may have Spyware or Malware that's creating a problem. So, download, install and run SpyBot and Malwarebytes to see if problem is resolved. If still the sound, your hard drive may be failing. Hope this helps.

Trying to run a sound card's installation CD on my DVD drive but CD won't run (new CD from Ebuyer) Believe my DVD drive may be faulty. How do I check if drive working and if not any way of getting it to...

have you tried another DVD yet? you might jsut be good spending the $20 on a new drive.
you could also try running a regestry editor to fix corrupted registry as it is a likely cause of drives not working
also, updating drives is good

My Gateway used computer was working and now it won't boot-up and gives message that Hard drive connection is not good. The computer makes clicking or more of a tapping sound and now won't boot. thanks

It sounds like your hard drive has failed, IE.. the clicking/tapping sound. You could have the hard drive tested to be sure. You could swap out the hard drive to another machine and try it.
