Question about Epson RX620 All-In-One InkJet Photo Printer
We had a lightning storm, and although the printer was unplugged from the wall, it was USB'd to the computer, which was plugged into an UPS PRO, which was also unplugged from the wall, BUT the modem was connected by a phone line to the UPS.... the telephone line was fried, and I found that everything in the house which plugged into a phone jack was toast even though everything is connected to surge protectors.
My question is, could the power switch for the Epson RX620 really have been destroyed by such a small connection... through an unplugged UPS, an unplugged computer, and a USB cable ???... or is it possible there is a reset button somewhere, or a fuse ??? do you know if I can replace some kind of power switching component myself ?? thank you for any assistance,
The UPS is unplugged from the power outlet but it is still connected to the modem
it is a lightning storm - and computer equipments & peripherals can only withstand very little amount of electricity
check your warranty status (warranty starts from the date of purchase) then call the vendor
