Question about Toshiba 32A43 32" TV
T.V. DOES NOT TURN OFF BY REMOTE CONTROLE. HAVE TO UNPLUG IT FROM THE OUTLET BUT WHEN I PLUG IT BACK ON IT STARTS THE PROSESS OVER WITH NO PICTURE AND JUST A RED BLINKING LIGHT NEXT TO THE POWER BUTTON. TOOK OFF BACK OF T.V. TO SEE WHAT PROBLEM IS AND FOUND WHERE PROBLEM MAY BE COMEING FROM. A ELECRONIC STATIC COMEING FROM THE WIRE TO BACK OF T.V SCREEN TO THE HORIZONTAL VERTICAL GENERATER. BOTTOM OF WIRE LOOKS LIKE ITS HOOKED INTO A SPARK PLUG. WHEN YOU PLUG THE T.V YOU CAN HEAR AND SEE THE ELECTRICITY IN THE WIRE
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: screen shuts off
my screen will turn on right after unit is plugged in and stay on for a short period of time, then it shuts off and the red light near the power button blinks and teh tv will not turn back on. there might be problem of loose contact in power supply Thanks

This sounds like a power supply problem, visually check the fuses and if they look ok, and you have a backgroud in electronics test to see if the set is prducing Dc voltage, you will need a multimeter and a schematic to do this with. However, if you do not have a background in electronics please take the set to a qualifide TV repair shop to have the repairs done.
I hope this helps.

No picture - screen is empty. Sound is ok
Check IC101 (BA7630F), if video signal comes to input (pin 1) but not present at output (pin 14) then replace this IC
No picture and sound, only a high pitch sound at switch on
Remove horizontal transistor and measure the resistance across any two pins. This value should be no less than 200ohms
Picture fades away few seconds after start-up till no picture. Sometimes no picture at all. Sometimes picture OK for longer. Sound unaffected.
Faulty joints on CRT pcb. Cracked solder joints at tube socket connections on CRT circuit board. Caused variable supply to CRT heaters. Resolder all socket pins to pcb.
