Question about HP PSC 1210 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Funky color on my HP psc 1200

I can't seem to figure out what the problem is with my printer. I just bought it used, and the black prints out grey, while the color does very strange things. It seems to have a problem with red. I also have a problem with streaking. I've cleaned the print heads, changed the quality settings, changed the cartridges, and turned it off and on. What else can I try?

Maybe your are not using the genuine ink that support to your printer.. Try to buy a genuine ink for that printer.

Hello, how do I isolate the color printer cartridge HP1315? I would use only the black cartridge.

Click on Start Select printer & faxes. Right click your printers icon. On the drop down menu select printing preferences. Uncheck the auto/color box and select grey scale printing. Click OK. All your printing now will be black.

Same problem

HP printers use a little bit of color ink, even if you only print in black. This is done by HP inorder to keep the color printhead jets clear.

You can select "greyscale only" by clicking on [Preferences] and going to the advanced screen. Choose "use greyscale only".

When you print a color page, the printer will only print black/grey. However ... it will still use a tiny bit of each color ink.

Oh, yeah .. they make lots of money, too.

Hp psc 750 won't print in black

ok, need a bit more info but when you select to print document, in the print options screen that comes up make sure your printer is selected in the top left hand corner, select preferences, then select color, click on advanced color settings and make sure all the colors are set to zero on the left hand side, to adjust the figures to zero use the sliders in the center, then select ok, tick the box besides print in greyscale and select ok, this should print your document in black ok, hope this helps, get back to me if still having trouble, cheers, Brett.

My HP PSC 950 printer copies and scans in color but prints in black

normally when the color tank runs out 2 things happen.

1] not all the colors run out at the same time.
2] the printer complains the tank needs to ne replaced.

If the tank isn't dry, it could simply be clogged. I like to use rubbing alcohol or distilled water and a cotton swab.

Dip the swab, & then gently apply pressure in the nozzles.
I would expect to see the clog before the cleaning process, some color to come off & when pressed on a paper towel, hopefully 3 bands.
