1 Answer

Sound Fluxuation I have an Oritron DAV3102 and when I have the volume on at any level it like to get extremely loud on and off, sometimes for long periods of time until I change the volume or turn off the system. It happens frequently and also makes a quiet ticking sounds from the speakers when it's about to do so. Someone Please Help Me.

Did the trimming of the wires in the back fix the problem??? Just curious even though I will try it nevertheless.

When this happened to me, I trimmed the wire that came from the speaker to the dvd player. I had to much wire exposed and they were touching behind the machine.

I have found that most channels broadcast at different volumes, more so when it comes to commercials. Something I will never get used to, but we can do nothing about. You might be able to find someting in the audio menue of either your TV or Sound bar that will help some . . .

Sound at 50-70 is not that loud. we have another model same size and samsung that is extremely loud at 25.. i dont understand

Speakers sometimes become damaged when going at high levels from low levels and just switching like that..... This may be the cause for it to be kind of low.... Best not to turn it all the way up or it might just blow the speaker fully..... You may have a a volume limit set on it.... Check that, it might be not allowing your speakers to play any louder.... Otherwise, it is best not to have your speakers blaring, just have them kind of low, and your ears will adjust.... People lose hearing when they have their TV's turned all the way up and all loud... Plus it just kind of disrupts the peace of a home :) Good Luck :D

32 inch tv goes from normal sound during program to extreme loud

May be a defect but, if you notice the sound changes with different channels or movies or HD or Standard, look for a volume limiter control button in the menu setup under audio control. Sometimes the menu has a control that you can turn on to limit different volume levels during the shows origination.

Low volume on finalized songs.

There's not really any magic fix to this as far as I'm aware. I usually don't burn CD's from my Tascam directly, but export the mix to the PC and do final touches and burn from there. I don't typically normalize though and the levels are what has come out of the Tascam. I do however use compression on many of the tracks (and sometimes on the whole mix) before exporting which will squash the peaks and lows together and thus give you an overall higher volume with your level meters peaking in the normal place you're used to.

There are other factors like EQ without which a mix can sound too loud and perhaps cause you to lower the levels when really things in the mix just need to be allowed to sit in different EQ bands.

Compression is the key though. Unfortunately even well recorded instruments and vocals naturally contain wide fluxuation in terms of lows and highs and these need to be smoothed out in order to obtain anywhere near the volume of a commercial CD. With compression alone the result may still fall short as the use of pro quality mastering effects can really make a world of difference to overall percieved volume as well.

Hope this helped

Volume control for model TXD1972

This may sound stupid but try this turn the volume knob to high and low continously for a few seconds sometimes the contacts become dirty and just a little movement back and forth quickly repairs it. I said SOMETIMES.

GO VIDEO DVD + VCR model: DV 1130 I want only the basic connection

Once the setting for Progressive Scan output is entered,
an image will only be visible on a Progressive Scan compatible
TV or monitor. If you set Progressive Scan to On in
error, you must reset the unit. Pointing the remote at the
player, press the STOP (x) button to stop any disc that is
playing. Next, press the STOP (x) button again and hold it
for five seconds before releasing it. The video output will
be restored to the standard setting, and a picture will once
again be visible on a conventional analog TV or monitor.
