2005 volvo s60 inside door latch broke

this Might work> while standing outside the car press and hold in the open button for the door lock. the windows should all open together. if not maybe the cable snaped or the window is jamed. another thing you can try gently is to try force the wondow up by hand as the PW button is pressed in

The hadle may have broke but more likely the clip holding the linkage to the leaver has come off. you will need to pull door panel off

On the passenger door,make sure the latch isn't in the closed position(have someone pull on the handle while pulling the latch mechanism with a screwdriver)The drivers side is gonna be interesting.You might be able to get at the door latch mechanism by rolling the window all the way down,and use a coathanger or similar tool to operate the linkage levers that way.

If you are not mechanical, you can take it to a dealer for a fix, or a glass shop can pull the interior door panel for you. then you can find the broken or disconnected linkage between the latch mechanim and the inside door handle. Repair or replace that part and then have the glass shop reinstall the inner door panel. while you are at it you may want to replace the nearly 10 year old window regulator.

Google door panel removal tools and you will see items that look like small crowbars. They slide between the panel and the metal and pry the fastener out of the metal. You can also watch videos on the process on you tube.

the handle might of broke internally, theres a rod and a clip that gets attached to the handle. i would take the door panel off and visual look at the latch mechanism and the rod that goes from that to the outside handle

Remove door panel check all fitings corrsion, lube with anti electric grease.

Will have to roll down window and take very long screwdrive and sli in door and bust door latch assembly,Best to take to shop,You have to know just where latch is to keep from causing major damage.

inside the door there is a cable that goes in the window motor. there is supposed to be a clip attached to the cable which stops the motor when the clips gets to the motor. it may have come off

the window gears are worn out,
