Question about Garden
Robin engine for 27 ton log splitter..starts on second/third pull..then stops in about 5/10 seconds pretty much everytime but,.once I got it going but soon as any pressure for the split was needed it would die off..been left outside but covered with tarp..drained some gas.changed spark plug..what's up?? it worked great just a couple months ago..will sometimes stay running at very low rpm if I try to increase speed..it stops..you have to wait a bit to make the next attempt possible or you'll be pullin on that thing all night without any success..
Remove the float bowl from the carburator and clean it out. Either the float is stuck of the needle valve is gummed up. Both the float and needle valve together regulate the fuel allowed into the bowl, if they dont allow fuel in or allow it in fast enough, the engine dies. Also check for a fuel Screen in the fuel tank, it may be plugged up.
