Try using small radiator clamps for now until you get time to order a replacement pole. You might want to order 2 it may be cheaper in the long run.

How do you attach the chainsaw to the pole?

You simply mount the saw between the two metal plates.
There are two screws holding the plates together.
Look in the owners manual and it will guide you how to attach the saw.
Once the saw is attached, plug in the power cable that is on the end of the pole. One word of advice....there is a large locking collar ring that enables the two poles to extend and lock together. There has been numerous reports that the locking collar ring splits due to overexersion. You can add a stainless worm clamp (similar to a radiator hose clamp) around the rind and tighten it securely. Be sure it is a heavy duty wide clamp. This will help to keep the ring from splitting under pressure.

Tape gets stuck in camera

Hi

I am not a video repairer by trade. Everything I have learnt has been through my own trial and error. I am trying to share what I have learnt in this article. . I have tried to fix 3 videos and had complete success with each of them.
It is possible that your video could be damaged as you take it apart to look at it. It would be worth first trying it out on a video you don’t care much for, before you try to fix your wedding video. There are companies that will repair videos and re-spool them. The costs are high so weigh up if this is right for you. I can’t see what the pros would do differently.
Video tapes are a fairly basic design which lets the repair be fairly primitive and basic also. The main reason for this article is to show you how to get the tape back into one piece.
Dissection:
Pulling apart a video is fairly easy. Putting it back together is the tricky bit. In fact, fixing the tape itself is easy too. I am hopeful that the dissection pictures will help you put it back together to its original state.
Looking at a video tape from the outside, there is not much to it. There is a flap which can be opened by pushing the button near it. This will expose the tape. The only other thing that we can do with the casing is cover or uncover the read write tab. More on this later.
complete_20case_thumb.jpgYou may want to remove the label from the spine before you begin because it is likely to be torn in half. There are 5 screws on the underside of the tape, but that’s just the beginning. You need to take caution here as the casing will come apart, but so will all the little pieces which are a pain to return to their original location. Ensure you keep the underside on a flat surface to keep the pieces in place. Pay attention to where the pieces came from as your reference for later.
As you can see, there is nothing too complicated about a VHS tape. Lets take a closer look.
left_20guide.pngright_20guide_small1.jpgThe left guide has two rollers in it, which the tape travels between. Normally, one will be plastic and the other metal. It is important to ensure these guides are in the right places. These rollers will often fall out as you open up a tape.
The right guide has only one roller which is fairly self explanatory.
flap_20spring.png The flap spring is a little trickier to attach. It slides onto the plastic pole and the short bent wire wraps around the clip. The longer end sits in the groove of the flap.
The most complicated part of the tape is the lock mechanism in the middle of the tape. This is often the culprit of a jammed tape.
It is hard to figure out how all these little pieces work together. You should end up being able to move the trigger backwards and forwards and have all these parts move simultaneously.
machanism_20pulled.png mechanism.png

Both of the springs wrap around poles and the left and right side mirror each other. There are various designs that are used for this, but the theory is the same. You want to be able to move the centre piece and the other two will spring it back into place.
Repairing a broken tape:
There is nothing glamorous about repairing a snapped tape. We see videos of directors splicing tape and sticking it back together in the movies. The theory is the same, only we are going to use bog standard sticky tape.
It is best to use the finest tape you can find. The video is unlikely to play where the tape is, but it should make its way through the player to the next readable section of tape.
Make sure you place sticky tape on on both sides of the tape rather than wrapping it around, as this will cause friction. If it is broken at the start or end of the tape, you have the luxury to be a bit more generous with the tape. You may need to fold some of the sticky tape to hold it onto the spool. This is fine as the normal pressure from the VCR will keep it taut.
Put the casing back together and put in the screws and see how you went.

I have a ten year old tent hardly used that has somehow now minus its tent pools can i get replacement ? how ? and How much

Sporting goods stores normally carry generic replacement poles- you want to find pole of the same diameter. These can carefully be cut to size by securing the cord between the first & second pole, cutting the knot at the end of the pole, then sawing off the end of the first pole that does not have the metal coupling. This is easier if you wrap masking tape around the pole at the cut location to help prevent the fiberglass from splitting. Put the cord back through the first pole, tie a couple of figure 8 knots, and you are good to go.

I need to know if a double pole 30 breaker acts as a jumper from 1 hot bar to the other.

1) Copy following links:
http://waterheatertimer.org/See-inside-main-breaker-box.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/Inside-Main-Breaker-Box-8-8.jpg
http://waterheatertimer.org/Color-codewire.html

2) Double-pole circuit breaker snaps down over both hot busbars.
Each busbar supplies 120Volts, and each busbar is out-of-phase with the other busbar. Together, the two 120volt out-of-phase wires have 240Volt potential.

3) Does the double-pole breaker act as a jumper?
No.
Typically a 'jumper' wire bonds two electrical connections together so power flows between the things that are jumpered together.
If you 'jumper' one busbar to the other busbar in live 240V split phase panel, it will short out.

4) 240Volt circuit requires two hot wires. One hot from each busbar.
When the two hots are applied to two screws on a heating element, that action will complete circuit, and element will heat.
Instead of shorting out, the element has resistance in the form of a coil of wire that impedes the flow of current and converts the electric current into heat at the element.
This is same as filament inside light bulb.
If the element does not have resistance to impede current, then the two hot wires in the 240Volt circuit will short out and cause flash of overheating and burning that will burn out element. If element does not burn out immediately, and short continues, then the wire connected to circuit breaker begins to heat. When heat on wire exceeds circuit breaker rating, then the breaker trips off.
Circuit breakers are triggered by heat.
This is why wire size and breaker size must match.., to avoid overheated wire inside wall that will catch house on fire.

I have a 125 FPE box currently the combined total of all breakers presently in the box is 190 amps. I am wanting to replace a single pole 20 with a single pole 40. Am I already maxed out or do I have room...

You can add the breaker.
The key is total electric use.
As long as total consumption does not exceed amps shown on main breaker, then the new 40A breaker installation is ok.
If total consumption exceeds main breaker, then the main breaker will start to get hot and then trip.
http://waterheatertimer.org/How-to-install-a-subpanel.html

Put hand on main breaker and feel for warmth.
The main should not feel warm.
Consider upgrading to 150A or 200A service.

I purchased the toy story bed tent for my daughter and misplaced the instructions on how to put it together so if you could provide me with this I would really appreciate it

there are four pockets on the inside of the tent which hold the ends of the pole with the string in them. connect all the poles with the string in them. bend it in a (n) shape and stick the ends in the pockets. the poles are bent so as to give the tent height not depth, do the same for the rear of the tent. the twelve other poles are connected using the small connectors. one connector for two poles then stick those poles into the front and rear (n) shaped poles in the empty connector spaces already on the pole you bent. remember when you bend the pole they will not stay bent until you stick them into the inside pockets in the tent. the nylon straps at the bottom of the tent help the tent to hold on to the mattress. its simple enjoy. i put all the poles together first and then had my helper to hold it in a (n) shape until i could stick the legs into the pockets. look inside the tent once together you will see where you need to tie the nylon straps to the poles

How do you wire a Two Single Pole Switch for each switch to run seperate lights all off of one circuit. Example: Recess Lights on one switch and a Track light on the other switch. 6 black wires, 6 white...

so 6 grounds is connected together, and conneted to mains ground (direct connection), the white wires is (mains Neutral) and you connect all 6 white wires together (to doble pole safety switch) in one end pole switch, and you connect a wire from another pole the same end at common Two Single Pole Switch and connect (Black wires recess lights) to one free pole switch and (Black wires track lights) to another free pole.

The mains connect to safety switch live (Black or Brown) to another free safety switch pole, Neutral (White or blue) to free safety switch pole and earth to ground wires on mains connector.

Note: Allways use a mains 300mA diferencial safety switch, for better protection.

How to fix a stanley power-lock 25 ft measuring tape

Take the four corner screws out and the last center (short screw out). Split the shells in two pieces. Seperate the yellow or measureing tape from the black spindle tape. The spindle tape holds or attaches the measurement tap to the spindle. I have only seen a plastic spindle and this tutorial only applies to the plastic one. Take the spindle out and set the half casings on their backs, so you can see the cavity of the shells. The black spindle tape will be preformed to only wrap one way. Go ahead and attach the yello measuring tape to the black spindle tape. Pay close attention which side of the yellow tape is facing up or in our intended direction which is towards the center of the spindle. This way when you pull the tape out it is facing up for the person can see the measure marks. Wrap the tape tightly. If the tabs are broke and there's no way to secure the Yellow to the black, use two strips of Duct Tape and adhere the sections together. Do not use too much tape, since the clearance inside the spindle is tight. Once you wrap the tape inside, put a temporary piece of tape to secure the yellow and keep it from unraveling again. Next take a 1" wood screw and a battery powered drill and insert the screw into the center of the plastic spindle. Slowly tap the screw until it catches, do not drill the screw all the way in, only enough to catch in the plastic. Once the screw is partly into the plastic place the spindle into one of the half shells. The reason for the drill and screw is to return the tension back to the internal spring. Whichever side you placed the screw into you need to be sure to apply a clockwise turn. Keep the hex head of the drill so to not release the tension. At the same time place the spindle in the half shell and lock its square center piece into the shell. Now you can remove the screw from the center, then remove the tape holding the yellow meauring tape down, Still holding the measuring tape so it wont unravel, begin placing the last half shell on. Obviously you need to line everything up so the tape slides freely through its opening. Align the tape slide stop, which rests between the two shell halves. Replace the screws and remember the short one goes in the middle and holds down the belt clip.
