Visio TV freezing and then rebooting

If you can get into the setup program, try doing a factory reset to get back to the default setup settings. This may cause you to lose apps that you have added to the set, however, but that's better than having to buy a whole new set. You also may want to see if there are any updates for the set from Visio if you don't have it set up to download and install them automatically already.

Why does our TV go through the channell setup everytime we turn it on?

Hi Mary -

The first thing you should do is consult the set up procedures on Page 8 / Section 4 of the manual. This will assure that you have completed and exited this important section properly.

If the TV should lose power (power outage, blown fuse or circuit breaker, cord removed from the outlet, etc.) the TV will likely need to have the setup performed when powered again for the first time. Likewise, a TV that is plugged into an outlet controlled by a switch, will lose power when the switch position is changed. Since switched and un-switched wall outlets look the same, you will need to unplug the TV and plug in a table lamp or similar and operate switches to see if it goes out. You will need to try both the upper and lower outlets as they can be operated independently of each other. If you find that the outlet is switched, you will either have to stop using the switch or find another un-switched outlet to power the TV.

I didn't see it mentioned in the manual, but some TVs have a dedicated power and a dedicated on / off button. If the power button is set to off, the TV will shut off and the remote will not be able to turn the TV back on until the power button is turned back on. The on / off button on the TV allows the TV to be turned on and off with the remote - or the on / off button on the TV. Again, this will only work if the dedicated power button is on. If the power button is set to off, it may be causing the TV to lose the set up information - requiring that it be done again. Make sure that you are using the remote to turn the TV on and off - or the correct button on the TV if you do not have a remote.

If all fails, you might want to contact Sanyo directly. According to the manual, they can be reached at 800-877-5032. I hope this helps & good luck!

Hello. I recently bought model TC-L32C22 for the waiting room of an office. Every morning when I turn on the tv, I have to go through the setup of the channels again. Why is this? Did I do the initial...

Could the unit be losing power overnight? If the TV is on a switched outlet, change outlets (or make sure the switch stays on). Did you actually finish the setup? The setup screen will continue to appear if you press Exit before it is completed. You should have seen the "Setup is complete" message.

If you are correcting the time as well as repeating the scan, the TV is probably losing power overnight.
If this is power related, consider a UPS that will power the TV overnight in Standby mode. It uses 100 W when on and 0.3 W in standby.

I hope this helps.

Initial setup on Bravia 26" won't come up

Try resetting the TV to the original factory settings. After resetting the TV to the original factory settings, you can get the initial setup screen to select Antenna. Make sure that the cable from the Antenna is connected to the TV.

Follow the steps given below to reset the TV to the original factory settings:

(i) Turn ON the TV.
(ii) While holding down the Up arrow button on the Remote control supplied with the TV, press the Power button on the TV set. The TV will turn itself off then back ON again.
(iii)Next, release the Up arrow.
