Hi,
Try restarting the KVM and make sure the KVM works for other servers. If yes, then ensure the memory modules in the server are seated properly in the DIMM slots. Then power it own.
Please come back and rate my solution if it turns to be helpful for you. Thnx

Power up the external monitor first and then boot up the laptop, the video info will automatically divert to the external monitor.
If you do not see a Windows image on the external monitor then it is definitely a motherboard issue, because the video card is built in on the motherboard.
The Video card uses shared RAM (part of the RAM module/s ), try re-seating the RAM modules, also test the RAM modules.
You can test the hard drive by removing the hard drive and connecting it to an USB hard drive adapter, then connect the adapter into a working computer's USB port. If the hard drive is OK, this computer will see it as an external storage device and you can open the various folders and files on the hard drive.

Systemax Ascent HA3200 RTS won't boot - fans come on - no display

The motherboard seems OK as it is displaying signs of life. The Monitor should display something before booting up, which it is not. Please do the following. 1. Remove the RAM and reinsert the DIMMs into their sockets and boot up. 2. Disconnect the HDD data cable from the HDD and the motherboard and reconnect. Boot up. 3. Disconnect the monitor and reconnect. Boot up. At boot up press F2 and set the PC to default settings. Boot up. Later when you want to apply your settings, keep noting down what you did when. Just in case.

Wont boot

In that case, looks like you have a faulty motherboard (video chip) chip-set. Remove motherboard from the casing and apply thermal paste. Also clean-up the whole board. I hope this will help you.

correodemie, Your ACER AL2016 will need to have it's "switch-mode-power-supply/CCFL inverter supply" trouble shooted and repaired. DIY repair cost less than $30. Out of warranty service $35 to $75, more if circuit board replaced. Read my and other techs FIXYA profiles to discover all the options you have for your BLACK screen symptom. May be your in second HDD, you didn't set the jumper up. There are some more settings you will have to configure in the BIOS menu. in the BIOS, you should set the primary HDD as the master and the second(newer HDD) as the secondary. Then it should boot without any problem but if the problem persists I don't know what to do next.
