Question about Whirlpool GEW9200L Electric Dryer
When I turn on the controls and hit start the sensing light comes on then nothing else happens. I would also like to know is this a problem a fairly handy guy can fix!

Okay, I had the same issue. Turned out to be the control panel. Replaced it and it's good-to-go.
Oh, it burned out because of a blocked vent. So if you dry a lot of cotton clothes, or have a large family, get the vents cleaned once a year.

Tips for a great answer:
If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have not taken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then you need to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should take place. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causes for your dryer to fail.
