"No Signal" Keeps Flashing on the Screen

After I set up the TV and scan for available channels, "no signal" keeps flashing on the screen at random times, even on a channel where there is a signal. Can this be fixed?

Re: "No Signal" Keeps Flashing on the Screen

I would suspect you have a weak or intermittent source. If it is cable, you may want to have them check it for you. If you are using an antenna, you will want to get a better one or at least try a different position.

Kv-29fa210, black screen with no signal message, can hear channel

If you are running some kind of sky tv for your stations it is your scart lead fault re-fit /replace
if not some times an dvd player if attached can interfare with the signal geting through
failling all that re-set your tv and re-do serach for channels again But it dose not sound like a tv fault but a signal fault.

At random a black retangular box appears on the screen

Go into the TV's closed-caption settings and turn off captioning. You'll find it's set for "text" mode right now. What's happening is that in text mode, the set blanks out the part of the screen where the text will go but there isn't any. On channels or programs where captions aren't being broadcast you don't see anything. With the captions turned off the box will go away.

Not Available Flashing

My Samsung TXN3271HF had the same issue where the poorly-designed Soft-Touch channel button begin to register phantom touches (leading to the "Not Available" message flashing on the screen).

The fix is simple: remove the plastic strip containing the Soft-Touch buttons and when replacing the strip, leave some room between the buttons and the TV's circuit board (you will see the circuit board once you remove the plastic strip).

Hope this helps.

Dish network vs. on screen problem

This surely is not a problem? The TV is simply indicating what channel it is recieving signals from. But in most TVs, to remove this On Screen Display, just deactivate by pressing 'Display' or 'OSD' on the Tvs Remote, as well as on the Remote of the Dish Tv reciever.
