Make sure the cold start choke is working correctly.If its the type where you push the key inwards before you turn it,make sure the soleniod is engaging the choke.If its a lever type,make sure the cable is adjusted so full choke is being used.Hope this helps

Mazda b2300 won't start was hard to start when truck got warmed up so I changed fuel filter and now won't start at all but has fuel and spark

Double check your work. Probably disturbed some critical wiring to and from sensors. Could be corroded connections. A different car I have was very rough start, I found that a very difficult to access sensor connection needed cleaning to bright metal on both sides of the connection. After resetting codes (something you may need to do as a result of filter change) my car started instantly, just like new. (20 yr old car)

Mercury boat motor troubleshooting

Could be a fuel issue. You don't say how old your motor is, but if it is 10 yrs or older, there is a good chance it does not process regular highway fuel very well. Too much ethanol. Makes the fuel separate after warming up. Your engine will normally start fine, but after getting warm, will either stall out at low speeds, or won't start after shutting down. Try a good additive to reduce the ethanol effect. Most boat docks with fuel pumps also sell the needed blend of gas for marine engines. Thus, a few more cents per gallon, but less problem for you. I mixed a good additive to my 20 yr old Johnson 115, and it runs like a new one! Hope this helps. Good luck !

When car warms up it misses and dies and is hard to start what do you think is wrong

I am going to guess at the easiest first .
I will attempt to explain my reasoning without going into it so far as to bore anyone...

Coolent tempreture sensor ;
When the car is cold it starts fine , as it warms up (coolent temp sensor) the ECM is signaled to decrese the rich fuel mixture (choke).

Test coolent sensor for variences in reading with an ohm meter to verify the sensors condition.

Plugged fuel filter;
Cold start , fuel is sedentary allowing particles to settle (paired with the enrichened fuel mixture of cold start), Then when warmed the particles are clogging the filter and the fuel enrichment of the cold start is no longer helping the starving condition...

Its hard to diagnose with what little information you have provided.
If you are ghetting a code , take it to the nearest AutoZone and get a free diagnostic done.

95 geo tracker starts great when really cold,but hard starting when warm.You have to floor accelerator to get it started.

When was last tune up? Plugs, wires all fluids & filters - especially fuel filter??? I'd start there and run a good fuel system cleaner through it.

97 Chevy Tahoe is hard to start , problem is worse

This is just a guess- but I would try changing out the coolant temp sensor- this tells the computer that the engine is cold and needs a bit more fuel to start. If this is happening even when warm- look for a vacum leak.

Probable Spark plugs have blown. I would do a good tune up and replace your fuel filter, plugs and wires, oil and oil filter, air filter. Your system builds enough fuel pressure when it's cold becuase there is technically less are in your combustion chamber when it's cold so it can build more fuel pressure to start. When it's warm there's less room to build pressure to start your motor. So do a good tune up for now and see if that works. Hope you the best!

1974 60hp johnson outboard won't run on full throttle under load , max 10%. New fuel and filters ect. The motor is old but has very low hours.

Carbs probably need to be cleaned and re-built. Common problem in outboards that havent been run in a while
