I can not get my get the firewire to connect to the camera
Problem for Sony Handycam® HDR-HC7 Mini DV Digital Camcorder
Sony hdr-hc7 will not power on
My sony hdr-hc7 works when it is plugged directly into the outlet. However when I try to turn it on from the battery, it will not power on. I have tried 2 different batteries, both fully charged and it makes no difference. I purchased this 6 months ago and have only used it a half dozen times. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

- I have the same problem. My Sony HDR-HC7 camcorder is only working on the outlet. The batteries are fine but the camcorder is not working on them. I know that camcorder can see battery's charge since when connected to the outlet and battery in place it is showing battery charge information at 100%.Have anyone found a solution for the problem?- Guest

- same prob. Cam will work on AC (no Batt) and rarely when on batt. when it does work date is reset. I imagine it is the internal battery at fault and possibly a loose power cable to this internal batt.GLTA
