If you want a really serious free photo editor then GIMP is the best one out there (it just keeps getting better) .. it does everything a pro might need but its a bit daunting for a beginner .. if you want a much simpler but still good editor then "paint.net" works nicely ... there are many others so here is a site that lists some
if you are willing to pay then photoshop elements is a good starting point .. photoshop CS4 has some really nice features but is expensive .. a business that needs high productivity would benefit from CS4..

How much photo editing will you be doing some open source ones are Gimp--www.gimp.org i personally use gimp. Others are cinepaint download here http://sourceforge.net/projects/cinepaint/files/
and photoplus just to name a few. download here

Windows Advanced Options Menu
Please select an option:
Safe Mode with Networking
Safe Mode with Command Prompt
Enable Boot Logging
Enable VGA mode
Last Known Good Configuration (your most recent settings that worked)
Directory Services Restore Mode (Windows domain controllers only)
Start Windows Normally
Return to OS Choices Menu
Use the up and down arrow keys to move the highlight to your choice
select safe mode with command prompt
Click start run type cmd press Enter
black screen should open DOS mode
this will vary depending on your operating system
type in net user username
For eg. If you want to change administrator password , type net user Administrator
It will prompt you to enter the new password.
Enter the new password and the password is changed
if this fails you will need to
Select safe mode with networking to download
you could download all of these or just one save them to a usb drive for later use if one fails to remove the password

This utility will enable you to reset the password of any user that has a valid (local) account on your Windows NT/2k/XP/Vista etc system.
