Do you know the type of modem you are using? if so you may go to the manufacture's website and download the drivers, Google search the type of modem and drivers, or if you still have the installation disk you may just run that and the problem will be fixed. Smile!

I need to know how to uninstall optional windows updates

Go to Control Panel > Device Manager.Find the video card in the list.Right click on it and select properties.Click on the 'driver' tab.Use the option to roll back the driver.Remember not to accept hardware drivers from Windows Update in the future.you should be able to uninstall your display driver from within Device Manager as described above. You can also uninstall it from within Programs and Features http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/123397-uninstall-change-program.html)
if the driver is listed in the uninstall list. Sometimes you may need to do this while in Safe Mode if it will not uninstall while logged in to your user account normally.

Ive lost my sound?

Hi, if you have the original driver CD for your system then run the whole set up not just the audio. If you donot have this CD then look inside your computer, locate the manufacturer and any model numbers you can see. go the manufacturers web page and download the latest drivers there.
