Replacing the batteries and chargers should help, also don't leave your charger plugged in when its done, you will occasionally devastate it,making it charge slow and battery life drain in hi speed,Best option is to charge it until to 90%-95%.

Ok I had made a Pandora Battery to unbrick and downgrade PSP's. Well as I was doing transforming the battery I neglected to back up the eprom.

I instead loaded and eprom from another battery. The battery would not charge and would only show a small percetage and then shut down.

This worked for me. I took a high output white LED and carefully slid it into the two end slots on my OEM Battery. You know you have the right polarity when the LED lights up. Now as the LED only draws minimal current it was still going after one week. I then added an incandesant flashlight type bulb by connecting it to the led leads. You have to be careful as not to short the wires together. Let it run and you will see it slowly dim as the battery drains.

Do not let the battery draw for too long though. Check it frequently and wiggle the LED so you can tell you still have a connection. If the incandesant bulb is out but the LED is still lit you should be good to go. Draining the battery too long can reverse the polarity and pooch your battery.

I plugged my battery into an external wall type PSP battery charger and let it charge for several hours. I was suprised to see the charging light turn green. I placed it into my PSP and checked the battery's properties and it was 100%!

I gave it to my kid to play with for a while and it played fine. I then took and backed up the eprom and changed it back to a pandora battery as it is my spare.

Psp battery and screen

It's bricked. What that means is that the system software has been corrupted. The most common reason for this is if someone turns the PSP off in the middle of a system update. It can be fixed, but it requires special equipment which costs about $40 if you can find it online. The following website can rebuild the system software for you for $30. They also do other PSP repairs -- you can send them both and they will check them out for you! No charge for an estimate!

Power Problem with my psp

Make sure the plug is all the way in the socket, and make sure it's plugged into an outlet. If those are bouth done. Are you sure it only charges for the 3 minutes? maybe it's full by the time th elight goes off. Uhhh I'd say it's probably something wrong with either the things connecting the battery to the PSP or, the female end of the power connector. Damn females always messing things up.

It sounds like a problem with your rechargeable battery. when you charge it, is it showing a full charge -- should be after around 45 minutes. wosrt case is you'll need a replacement battery from Sony.

PSP Charging problem

TEST : Take battery out. Plug in to wall. Wait 30+ secs with psp on. if the power turns off, then its the adapter which is broken, which costs about 5$

OTHERWISE:

Your battery needs to be changed. Standard flavor costs bout 8$, extra long lasting spicy flavor costs 16$. (lol, chips)

Seriousley though, after some time, wear, and in some cases, temp. changes, the battery can become so weak, that it will only hold about a 5 second charge. Once you get less than 1 hour play time W/O charger, need to get a new battery.
