Lost resolution 1280x960

Hi, i have a hp paviolion dv6500 and my laptop lost his resolution like poof...i was using it then i turn it off for a while but when i turned it on i saw that my monitor didn't turned on but the system was good. i had to plug another monitor of 1024x768 to see something at least, but now my monitor doesn't want to adjust to the original one...i see the right part of the monitor BLACK but i don't think that it could be a driver problem because i can play my video games very well and my laptop is always updated...if someone could help me with urgence please..

From the manufacturer's web-site:

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/pfinder?&query=dv6500

select one of the 242(!) different models of 'DV6500', and then download the device-driver(s) for the USB ports and for the co-processor.

Need polarity of adapter plug for HP Pavilion DV6500

The cables for these are fairly specific, but if you have a cbale that has the same plugs and fits both the transformer side and the computer side, you cna use that as a replacement. The cord itself has no polarity.
Are you looking to do something else here?
