Poulan Super25DA old chainsaw from the mid 70's.

Poulan Super25DA (Model S25DA) old chainsaw from the mid 70's. Power head is perfect. I need to know what kind of sprocket will allow me to change from a 1/4'' pitch chain to a 3/8'' pitch Part number or shaft diameter and number of teeth on sprocket would be helpful.

I should have been more specific. I checked all Oregon parts. They don't have anything listed for a Model S25DA and no 1/4" pitch anything. It's probably too old. So I'm looking for a cross reference to change everything (bar, chain sprocket) to 3/8" pitch from the 1/4".

Call your local Power Equipment Dealers and ask if any of them deal with OREGON replacement parts.
OREGON makes clutch drum, chain and bar combinations in the thousands!
NOTE: Along with clutch drum and chain replacement, your bar will need to be changed also, as the sprocket-tip in the nose of the bar will be a different pitch.

How do i replaceclutch drive on a poulan chainsaw p4018wt

Attached is a video from YouTube Donyboy73. In it he removes a clutch and sprocket from a Poulan 2150. I know this is not your saw, but also know all 2 cycle chainsaws are very similar.
There are many helpful chainsaw videos on YouTube. I hope this helps.

Headbolt tension

Hi Belinda, I am not sure what you are asking for when you say headbolt. If you mean cylinder bolt, jug bolt or head bolt then
approximately 125 inch pounds.. not foot pounds!!!

This image I found for a Poulan chainsaw site, Poulan makes most of Craftsman saws. If you match the size you should find your torque setting.

Poulan chain saw how to get old chain drive sprocket off.

You'll have to stop the crankshaft from moving. The easiest way to do this is to take the spark plug out, pull the starter rope out a little ways, and stuff some of it into the spark plug hole. Spin the sprocket until it stops turning, that will put the piston at the top where it can't pass TDC and stops the crank. Turn the sprocket until it comes off then put your new one on.

I bought a used Poulan Pro 3450 and have been surprised by its performance. It came with a 20" bar and I was wondering what the largest bar I can put on the power head is.

hi there maufader

pauly46 here

poulan 3450 think max bar is 24 " have seen modles come out with 22 " bar on std
with 3/8 0.58 chain std but would not recommend any bigger as might burn out clutches
with increased cutting load/ drag

here is web site for parts
i know its not a poulan pro but is still a poulan 3450 - but model appear to be identical with very minor differences.

cheers hope this helps

Cannot get chain back on bar of poulan pro electric chainsaw model 1630

Slide the bar on the studs all the way to the left, or rear of the chainsaw, and feed the chain around the motor sprocket, THEN along the top of the bar to the right, and around the bar's sprocket at the right end of the bar, if this doesn't work, report back. This is the original bar and chain correct?
