Dazzle device is not design to used and capture using TV set it is not advisable to capture live stream or live feed. That is the reason why your computer goes blue screen. The only work around for that device is to capture and recordable video.

Greets - You are mixing cables up. You need to connect the Dazzle yellow, red, white cables to the yellow, red white cables on the TV. You can't plug standard video/audio cables into the component (red, blue, green) connectors on the TV.
take a look at this diagram, just pretend the devices on the left are all connectors on your TV.

The issue seems to be more software conflict in Win 7. I installed Pcleusb.exe and it blue screened on just about everything. But all is not lost, I have managed to get the DVC 80 to work using VideoCap.exe. Very basic but at least it allows you to to record/capture in either AVI or WMV

Try using Corel Video Studio to run the card - they have a free 30 day trail download. Their package is about the best that I have seen so far.

The blue screen is referred to in the industry as BSOD( blue screen of death ) this is a stop screen that is built into Windows to halt on errors whether its a hardware malfunction or incompatibility or software conflicts. Your Dazzle could be faulty or the software is causing the halt screen. This is a major problem with Vista. I have changed most of my computers from Vista back to XP because my Dazzle and new video cam won't run on Vista but runs excellent on the same machine once switched over to XP. Good luck and fell free to Google BSOD for more info.

Suggest for that is to disconnect your dazzle and then connect at the back of your computer. Please do this Click on Start>Control panel>system>hardware>device manager>sound and video games controller> right click on video capture device and uninstall it. Restart your computer. Open again your Studio and then try to capture it again.

Windows Movie Maker

A lot of times Dazzle provides a calibration program for video and sound. See if you can run that.

There usually is a seperate audio capture control. If you go to your sound mixer and check the recording settings, is the audio capture from the Dazzle selected?
