Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Why wont the voice notifications for incoming texts and calls work anymore

check with your cell service provider. If your voice mail has a password to access your messages, that same password has to be entered into your phone voice mail app so that the phone can have automatic access to the message alert system. You may have accidentally turned off the feature. Check your settings, especially if you phone has a sleep mode.

Hi on your options screen there is normally a function which you can enable or disable which announces calls. If you give me more info on your phone i.e. model, make etc. I could maybe give you exact instructions on where to go on your phone to do it.

Changing the voicemail greeting on an ATT Dect6.0 CL82209

Here is the direct link to the User's Manual for that model of AT&T phone:

http://att.vtp-media.com/ecp/documents/product_Product/129/UserManual/5985/cl82309_manual_USA_i6.pdf

To view the Owner's Manual with Operating Instructions just use your mouse to click on the link, which is the underlined and highlighted text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the website indicated and the contents of the Owner's Manual.

You may need ADOBE READER installed on your computer to read PDF documents.
You can download this free at WWW.ADOBE.COM if necessary.
Click on the DOWNLOAD ADOBE READER button on right side of the ADOBE home page when you get there, then follow the onscreen instructions to install the software on your computer.

See page 16 of the manual for detailed instructions on HOW TO RECORD A NEW OUTGOING ANNOUNCEMENT.

The instructions in the manual basically read as follows:

To record a new outgoing announcement:

1. When the handset is in idle mode, press MENU/SELECT
to enter the main menu.

2. Press MENU/SELECT again.

3. Press CID or DIR arrows to scroll to ANS SYS SETUP,
then press MENU/SELECT.

4. Press CID or DIR arrows to scroll to ANNOUNCEMENT,
then press MENU/SELECT, the system announces, "To
play, press 2. To record, press 7."

5. Press 7 to record an announcement, the system
announces, "Record after the tone, press 5 when you
are done."

6. Press 5 when you finish the recording. Your recorded
announcement plays.

To listen to the recorded announcement again, press 2 after playback is
completed.

To record a new announcement, press 7 and follow the above steps.

I hope that was helpful to you, good luck and take care.

Joe.
