You did not list your specific make and model. However for most reciprocating type air compressors 1/2 to 8hp (without oil check window) you use the filling port as the level. The oil level is considered full when it reaches the bottom edge of the filling port. Just before it would begin to spill out. If it has a window then it will be full about halfway up.

As far as oil type there is oil specifically made for air compressors but just about any 30 weight will work.
Hope this helps

How do i oil my 3********** machine

Follow the instructions in your owner's manual. If it is a computerized machine, it should be oiled only as instructed.

Be sure to use fresh good quality sewing machine oil recommended in the manual.

If it is a mechanical machine, the instructions in the manual are the minimum oiling. Older mechanical machines will sometimes need a couple drops of oil every place that metal rubs against metal. Do NOT oil belts, synthetic parts, cams. AND do NOT over oil unless you want to be wiping up excess oil! A drop of oil on the hook/shuttle every 8 hours of use. Thorough oiling as described above, every 40 hours of use. If in storage or not in frequent use, every six months.

Where do I top up manual transmission oil on a 1986 daihatsu charade turbo g11?

Do you want to top up the engine oil or the transmission oil? The transmission oil plug is on the top side of the transmission. You need to lift up the car to do this. Best thing is to bring it to a service station.

I found the manual for this model weed eater, according to the manual the mixture...
and I quote "This engine is certified to operate on unleaded gasoline. Before operation, gasoline
must be mixed with a good quality synthetic 2-cycle air cooled engine oil designed to be
mixed at a Ratio of 40:1 ...."
and I quote once more from the manual "Helpful Tip. To obtain
correct oil mix ration, pour 3.2 ounces of 2 cycle synthetic oil into one gallon of fresh gas."

Hope that helps,
If you like I can send the manual via email if you need it.

Front end 4x4 noise, whurling or winding noise . from low speed all the way up to high

without hearing the noise it is difficult to diagnose as there are many possibilities.
the most likely for a whurling or winding noise is the front differential (diff).
check the diff oil level as described in the manual and top up/change as needed.
if the noise continues it may be worth getting it checked by a mechanic as there are quite a few possibilities.

Washer is leaking grease and oil. Can prob be repaired, or do parts need to be replaced?

The grease and oil problem you described is from the "tub seal" breaking down. Replace the tub seal and it will correct the problem. Here is a link to the part.

Describe the differance between two stroke and four stroke engines

two strokes fire every time the piston gets to the top ( every two strokes of the piston, down, up)and the fuel in and exhaust out is controlled by holes in the barrel called ports, they need oil mixed with the petrol to lubricate the piston and engine bearings.

Four stokes fire every second time the piston gets to the top( or every fouth stroke of the piston, down, up down ,up) the fuel and exhaust are controlled by valves that are pushed open by the cam, oil is pumped from the sump to the top of the motor and to the bearings for lubrication

What type of oil should i use for my 2005 kia sorento lx

the answer lies within your owners manual, do you have one? it will describe the grade and capacity of oil required-should be 5w30 4.5l pending on which engine. 2.0l engine=4.0l best bet is to start off with 3.5l of oil and check oil level on dipstick and top off accordingly.

Oiling a pacesetter

No oiling by the user.

Computerized machines are lubricated and sealed in the factory.

If you are the original owner, you could invalidate your warranty if you go beyond the maintenance routine described in the manual.

To keep the warranty, your machine is to be serviced by an authorized Brother tech on a regular basis - once a year if it gets heavy use.

General maintenance, per the manual, will keep the machine in good working condition.

I was given an Elna Supermatic 722010 and am not sure how to wind the bobbin.

A link to a supermatic manual is here
http://www.arizonaexpressionz.com/elna_instruction_manuals/Supermatic.pdf - I suggest you download this and print it out as this machine is over 50 years old now and manuals are scarce.

Disengage the clutch by holding the outside of the fly wheel and turning the inner knob of the wheel towards you.
You need to take the thread from the spool across to an eyelet on top left, then back to the bobbin winder, up through a hole in the top of the bobbin and hold the thread tail. Flick the bobbin across against the stopper. Now press the presser foot or knee control to start the motor. Hold the thread tail until youve got coverage across the bobbin enough to hold the start, then stop winding and cut the thread tail with scissors. Now continue winding but put the handle of your scissors on top of the thread spool to stop it bouncing and ensure your thread winds smoothly and under tension.

Watch the bobbin fill and give the thread a nudge to fill top and bottom as well as the middle evenly, you want a nice even wind. Fill to 3/4 and stop, flick bobbin back off the stopper, then cut the thread. Remember to re-engage the clutch by reversing the first step.

This is a lovely heirloom Elna machine - you need to thread the bobbin as the manual describes and get the thread into the tension spring. Please read the manual information on oiling too, this machine needs to be oiled on the red spot locations every time you use it according to the manual, use good quality clear sewing machine oil for this purpose.
