Question about Televison & Video
I have a red line line about a third across a 40 inch LCD screen. I had engineer to to look at it, he said one of the connections could have dust inside tv somewhere? Call out not successful, new screen needed. Not happy as tv is only 7 months old. Anyone else having these problems? Bought it from currys in Swansea
Dust will not ever cause that problem.
It sounds like your driver board/assy boards/video board inside maybe faulty or the cables have come loose.
The driver board/assy boards feed the display panel with the images.
The video board decodes the input signals, when you say its intermittent I wouldn't say it was the panel more the video board or the driver board/assy boards.
Just call the manufacturer and they can get a service engineer out to resolve it or get a replacement organised for you with the manufacturer with no problems as you are still within your 12 months warranty period.
