Hi I'm sorry, what is the message it shows? If it says "press F1 to continue" then do so, hit F8 and try "safe mode"
Really need to know what the message is.
Good luck

How to reset all settings to my lenovo a269i mobile thru pc

Is it a think pad ?
Power off your Thinkpad.
Press and hold the "F1" key and turn your Thinkpad on, still holding the "F1" key down.

Release the "F1" key when you hear repeating beeps. Wait for the "IBM BIOS Setup Utility" to load.

Select "Startup" using the arrow keys and press "Enter."
Select "Boot" or "Startup Sequence" and press "Enter."

Select "CD-ROM Drive."
Press the "F6" key repeatedly until "CD-ROM Drive" sits at the top of the list.

Insert your recovery CD into your Thinkpad's CD-ROM drive.
If you have multiple recovery CDs, insert the CD that has "Disc 1" on its label.

Press "F10" to save your changes and exit the BIOS Utility.
Select "Yes" and press "Enter" when the "Setup Confirmation" window appears.

Your laptop will restart. Wait for the Recovery Utility to load.

Select "Restore to Factory Specifications" to erase the contents of your hard drive and reinstall the Windows version and drivers that your Thinkpad originally came with.

Follow the Recovery Utility's onscreen instructions.
When prompted to insert another disc, do so according to the numerical labels on your recovery CDs (e.g., insert "Disc 2" after "Disc 1" and "Disc 3" after "Disc 2").

Your Thinkpad restarts when the restore process finishes. Power off your Thinkpad.

Hold down the "F1" key and power on your laptop to access the "IBM BIOS Setup Utility."

Select "Boot" or "Startup Sequence" and press "Enter."
Press "F9."

Select "Setup Defaults" from the menu and press "Enter" so that your Thinkpad no longer boots from the CD-ROM drive.

Press "F10" and select "Yes" to confirm your changes.
Your Thinkpad will restart and load your newly installed operating system.

Computer says press f1 to save but f1 key not working

Press F1 to save what? What was running when this came up? What are you trying to do?

I've never known the F1 key used to save anything. F10, yes but not F1.

I have a compaq m2105us and when i start it all i get is two beeps and a resume f1 and start f2

try to press f1 and resume set-up ..and make the changes for teh date and time ..and save all settings with F10 and restart should work ..and load windows if it has one ..The fact that it let you go in bios is good means it is not damaged but if it asks all he time f 1 to resume means the hard disk may have bads on it in system check ..and this is causing the f1 call ... basically the systems tells you that you have a bad hard disk and invites you to change it ..or to press f 1 to go with it anyway ..
so..either is calling you to go to bios and set it ..cause you somehow reset the bios to the factory ..or it is a hard disk notice ..
I f it seam not to find any hard disk in teh system ..try to go to bios by pressing F2 or F10 cause it is a hp after all ..and in there change the settings for the ahci function and let it run ide compatible may be the cause too for not booting up from hard disk ..
In the end I suggest to change bios battery ..cause a flat battery wioll also cause F1 on each boot to confirm the settings and set the date and time ..or just reinstall it cause it may have something on hard disk and caused the lost of data ..
let me know more about this if you can not manage or non of my scenarios does fit to the problem ..

its showing operating system not found, because the system cannot detect your hard disk.

Open your system, remove and fix back the hard disk, then try again.

Take care.

Press f4 to resume

u need to go into bios setup.this can be done by pressing del button on ur keybadr while booting is goin on. some time the key to be pressed will be F10 or F1 instead of del key.
There will be an option as stop booting on error. disabl;e that..n it ll be fine.. btw to find out the error u'l have to specyfy each n every settings in ur bios.So its better u to ask for a person who knows these things to ur home.. Else u can do by exploruing these things urself. It ll be fun..i would prefer this..
