Digital inputs on Aquos TV's are "always on," usually the HDMI inputs and DVI inputs. As opposed to analog inputs 1, 2, or 3, are only activated once something is plugged in.
Try plugging in another HDMI sources into input4 or 5, if its still not working, the TV needs a new Main Board. Try calling Sharp 1-800-237-4277 and locating a local service center in your area.

Thanks to this forum, I was able to confidently contact Sharp and get my TV fixed.
My 32" LCD had the same problem (sound but no picture) and was out of warranty, however I phoned Sharp UK and suggested that it was a manufacturing defect rather than component failure and should be repaired free of charge - which they did!!

Why does my sharp Aquos TV go out of resolution everytime I turn off the Wii game that is hooked up to it? Then I can reload Optimum cablevision- all I get is the program guide. Help
