Did you check the thermostats in the air tube going from the blower to the drum?
Sometimes a faulty thermostat will cause the over-heating problem you mentioned. This may also lead to heating coil failure.
A thermostat problem could lead to the dryer not running also.
Hope this helps

2009 Honda Shadow Aero ran fine yesterday, stopped for about 3 hours would not start last night. Turned over would not start, help?

sounds like a CDI issue!
could also be an ignition switch or run/stop switch issue.
is the bike lacking any power when running?
Maybe stator pick-up coil as well.
Have electrical components checked at the dealer.

Whirlpool Dryer mod #wed5300sq0 .......ran all night one night without stopping, figuring at this point the timer, so changed, still no heat and timer still not working either.

First you have to determine whether you element is in the front or the back of the machine this is done easiest by looking at the front of the machine and seeingif its one complete piece or two. If its one, the element is in the back, if two its in the front. We'll start if its in the back first. Tools you'll need is: 1/4 nut driver or drill with 1/4 adapter and a multimeter with ability to check continuity. With the machine unplugged, remove the back cover of the dryer. Once done, the heating element will be located on the right hand side with two fuses on the housing of the element. Test the element and each fuse seperatly by removing the wires and checking for continuity on each component. All parts should show continuity, so if one doesn't its bad and needs to be replaced. Now if the element is the front everything is the same with the exception of you have to remove the lower portion, usually held on by 3-4 screws located underneath.

Control panel not working

If you have power going into the control but it does not illuminate or respond the control will need to be replaced. Here is a link that should help http://appliancehelponline.com/dryerconsole.html These boards are very sensitive to power surges and are not repairable, they must be replaced.

I have a Speed Queen dryer that just stopped last night. There appears to be no power getting to the unit--dryer does not start, light does not come on, timer does not advance--yet the circuit breaker...

Hello

Is there power at the dryer receptacle? Is the dryer wired directly or does wire from electrical breaker go to a receptacle first? Have it checked with a meter. If unit is wired directly have it changed to a receptacle and cord. Make sure there is power at the connections on the dryer. If everything is okay, then it is a dryer problem

GE Profile Spectra XL 44 gas oven

If you can smell the gas when you turn on the oven, it may be on a separate igniter that has gone bad. I would check this first. If you are not getting gas to the oven, there is possibly an issue with the supply line.

Dryer turns itself on & beeps, then off again

aye, see if you can enter the diagnosis mode. What we are looking for is the F-02 code. This will flash when there is a stuck button or user interface problem and only displayed in the test mode. With the unit plugged in and all indicator lights off, select any button except stop. Press for 3 seconds, release for 3 seconds, press for 3 seconds, release for 3 secnds and press for 3 seconds. If you did it right 88 should appear. Press the same button again and if there is a error, it should show up. If no error code shows, open the consol and check the p-5 connector. This will be the interface ribbon to the board. Reseat it and see if the problem stops. Catriver
