Question about LG WM-2077C Front Load Washer

Water leaking out of back air vent

I noticed a water stain on the floor. I determined its coming out of the air vent on the back. This is a rubber stretchable hose that goes from the top of the drum to the back. Guide says it an air vent. Its not much water but enough to notice, maybe a cup or two over 4 or 5 loads. but enough to see water on the floor. What can I do? or why is it seaping out?

Washer leaks a little water when I put in a full load in it. Also leaks bleach when poured into dispenser. This is a top loader

Do you now where the leak is coming from? You may have to remove the outside sheet metal to observe the motor and tub. More than likely, the leak may be caused by a faulty pump or a seal in the pump.

If the machine overfills, you can get water on the floor as well, but you would notice that the machine appears too full.

The leaky bleach dispenser probably just needs to be removed, inspected and thoroughly cleaned. Water gets pumped thru it and any clog or problem with the pathway the water follows can cause overflow or a leak. BUT deal with the water problem first, that's the most important. A leaky pump will only get worse.

Also check the hose connections on the back of the washer. Old and cracked rubber washers can allow water to leak.

My ht3 #4292 is leaking water from the door

If water is coming through the door bellow and into the tub and not the floor, this is commonly caused by a water inlet valve that is leaking by or a pressure switch malfunction. The following link explains how to diagnose the problem to determine which one is causing your problem:

I included parts resources and instructions on how to replace each component as well.

If you have water leaking on the floor, you may also have a bellow with a rip or tear. If the bellow is leaking, it must be replaced. Pull back the rubber folds and inspect the entire perimeter around the door to be sure. If the bellow needs replaced, the following link explains how:

If you have any questions about any of these repairs, please post back and let me know. I hope this helps you.

Water large amounts on floor of shut off machine

To sufficiently inspect your washer to determine where to leak may be coming from, please review the following link:

If there is a huge gush of water coming from the washer as soon as you begin the fill cycle, this is commonly caused by a small air hose on the side of the washer drum that connects to the pressure switch. If this air hose comes loose, the water will pour from the wash tub as it begins to fill. This is an easy fix, if that is the only problem.

Another cause, can be a water inlet valve that is leaking by, or a pressure switch that does not keep the water supply shut off when not in use. This will cause the tub to fill up and spill over. The following link explains how to check for this as well:

Read through the information provided and let me know if you are having problems determining the cause of your problem. Please post back with your MODEL NUMBER so that I may be able to accurately determine how your washer is configured. I hope you find this information helpful.

My washer is spewing water everywhere sometime during its cycle. The floor is soaked! It seems to be coming from the soap dispenser area. I cleaned the dispenser really well but still water everywhere.

The only way to determine where the problem lies is to take off as many covers as possible then run your usual wash cycle. The problem could be a leaking or blocked pipe or a rubber seal that leaks etc etc. Have somebody in the know open up your machine to determine where the leak comes from.
Best wishes,

Water goes on to floor when filling washing machine. All hoses are connected securely.Machine was previously overloaded and shifted considerably when when nobody was home.

sounds like one of the hoses connecting drum or pump is adrift.most times these can be most readily seen with the machine lying on its back.make sure all power & water connections are off!

Clothes come out with stains on them

I had a similar problem with my Kenmore front loader. Turned out that the rubber lining around the door was trapping dirty, soapy water causing a nasty residue to collect. That residue got onto the clothes. I cleaned the rubber liner and now keep the washer door open between uses. I still occasionally wipe down the rubber liner with a wet rag. Problem seems to have been solved.

LG Tromm WM0642HW washer leaking water!

I have the same problem - just a small amount of water leaking out from under the machine. I removed the top cover and found one of the water lines rubs on the vent tube and has wore completely through. Should be an easy fix, as the line runs from the #2 spigot on the water inlet to the detergent box - both connections are right on top.

LG Front Load Washer

I've had trouble with my LG WM016CW front load washer leaking from the start. After many service calls, a Sears tech finally figured out that the water was running out the air vent on the back of the washer(leaks out even when no soap is added, so it's not a soap issue). The Sears tech called LG and it turns out that there should be mushroom valve(not on the original parts list) installed between the tub and air vent hose to prevent water from leaking through the air vent. That seems logical, so why wasn't the valve installed to begin with? LG is obviously aware of the problem, so why haven't they had the courtesy to inform their authorized techs? No, instead they wait for some poor tech to call them, then give out a part number that has proven to be dfficult or maybe even impossible to get(been 2 weeks and still no part). I believe LG is trying to hide the fact that the valve was left out of the original washer design and they do not want to go to the expense of correcting their mistake. Wish I could just return the washer, who wants one that leaks?

LG WM-2077 Water leaks out of the Air Vent on the back

Be sure you are using HE detergent and only about 1 Tablespoon for a load. You are ending up with too many bubbles in the machine and when it goes to spin the bubbles come out the air vent. There is a valve that closes during spin but bubbles are not strong enough to lift the valve it has to be water hitting it before it closes.
