Our printer will use the copier and scanner function fine but when we try to print some thing out it will not use any ink. we replaced both ink cartage black and color. All colors work when we copy or scan...

Do give the ink some time to come through, gravity will do the rest.

You could clean the ink heads to get the ink to come through quicker.

When printing the document, go through the settings and see if you see anything to do with the darkness of the print.

My ink carrage keeps slamming into the side and the message is to clear the area but there is no obstruction. The printer will begin a page then abruptly go either left or right and slam into either side...

HI
It is because some time of the other it has moved on the belt where the inks cartages slides on the bar.

You can try to get it to stop in the middle of the bar do this by printing some thing and as it starts printing switch off at the power so it will stop then push it over a little bit to the other side by hand not to much.

But don’t push it to hard then restart the printer and see if it any better you may have to do this more than ones till you get it right.

Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one and to go on helping.

How to refill hp564 ink cartages?

Please, do not wast your time doing that. Re-filled cartridges can cause a myriad of print quality issues. They also may be grounds for the printer manufacturer to void any remaining warranty that may be left on the printer.

I know that these vendors will the ink is fine but nine times out of ten the chemical signatures of the ink will be different.

Protect your printer and use the ink sold by the manufacture. Its not worth throwing out the printer because the ink damaged the print head or does not flow properly.

The dont know how to switch the ink cartages

The large black ink cartridge is used for printing text and other general black printing. The small black cartridge is used when printing graphics and other fine details. Each cartridge feeds to a different part of the print head, which is used for different purposes.

Print cartages won't move when I open to change.

You can manually move a printhead( the one that holds the cartridges) to the center. Open the door at the back, turn the wheels clockwise, and while turning, manually move the printhead to the center..
