The error code basically means it cannot establish a connection to the network, like it can't even acquire an IP address.

Using Nintendo Wireless Adapter - No Connection Anymore

If available networks are found, it means that the wireless adapter is working just fine. In case of Wi-Fi, the device has to acquire an IP address from the wireless router and the mutual communication is not taking place. This has something to do with the wireless router. Check for any kind of security filtering like MAC address filtering or lower down the encryption technique to 64-bit WEP. Try connecting to even an unsecured network, then check for the automatically acquired IP address. It should never be starting with 169.254.xx.xx (Invalid)
If you have other wireless computers going online in the same network, without security and filtering, then it means that your DS Lite is not acquiring an IP address. In that critical case, you may have to statically or manually assign an IP address in the range of the router.
And lastly, as you said LAN connection is active, it would be because it doesn't face any hardships while connecting!

Thanks..
Do get back if you need further clarifications.

I am trying to connect to the wireless in my new apartment. I have entered my network and password and that has worked fine. However, under Wireless Network Connection Status (i can get there by clicking...

On the Support tab - what does it say the "Address Type" ?
If its DHCP then check that on the TCP/IP properties;
If on "automatic IP address" then it wont take any entered IP address.

Do not put any IP address.

Check that "Obtain an IP address automatically" is checked and also "Obtain DNS server address automatically" is also checked. On wireless network tab check "Use Windows to configure my wireless network settings".

On preferred network check that your wireless network is there, if not add it and move it up

Laptop can not connect to router

Hi,

If you care to try, manually enter IP settings in your laptop as follows:
IP Address - 192.168.1.2
Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway - 192.168.1.1
DNS - whatever your ISP is using

In your Internet Explorer >
Tools, Internet Options, Connections tab, LAN settings button, check "Automatically detect settings", OK, Advance tab, check Use HTTP 1.1 through proxy connections.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Cannot connect

Assuming you are on Windows XP click on site below for router setup. http://support.gateway.com/s/NETWORK/7004809/7004809slWindowsXP.shtml The Nintendo 'Cloud' is just a network name so that when you are in a building that has supported wifi, you search for the network and use My Cloud as the password for connection on Nintendo DS. The settings you may require for the Nintendo Wii will probably be your routers IP address, Gateway and DNS address (just use same numbers). Apologies in advance if i'm incorrect as i have only setup a nintendo DS on my own wireless network and as Wii are not yet available i have no knowledge of it yet.
