Some outdoor units have high and low pressure switches or sensors that will shut the unit off to prevent damage to your compressor, some high pressure switchs will cut off due to a dirty condenser coil check your coil it can be , cleaned with a water hose, make sure you disconnect power before servicing. if it is a low pressure switch your unit is low on freon

Why tempstar 5000 High Efficiency a/c outside fan won't turn off ?

Sounds like your contactor is sticking in your outside unit. They could be welded shut.

Outside conndenenser does not tun off

Sounds like a welded shut contactor coil. The contactor coil will have to be replaced so the unit turns off by signal from thermostat. Conatctor coils are about 30 dollars and be purchased at any heating and cooling supply store.

No instruction of use with rental property. In cold temperatures outside unit stops why? Also need to know if can be set to turn on at certain time of the day.

if the temp goes down outside the might shut off for sevreal reasons, (1) it might have a freezestat that shut it off to prevent damadge to the unit caused by being too cold outside, (2) the property owner might have an outdoor reset on the unit to prevent the unit from running when you can open the windows and save electricity, this is more common in timeshares than in long term rentals.

A/c runs and cools blower cycles with thermosatt demand but outside unit doesnt runs constant and freezes up when blower stops ? Ithink solid state blower control board is the problem ?

If you are saying the unit outside does NOT shut off with the thermostat, you need to check the contactor on the outdoor unit. The contactor may be pitted and stuck shut, not turning the unit outside off when the thermostat shuts off.

The contactor is located in the outdoor unit, the power coming into the unit is connected to it. It looks like a small 3" box and has contacts in it that shut and open with the thermostat. The contacts may be pitted or shorted and you may need to get another contactor. You should be able to see the contacts, you may have to take off a small cover on top of the contactor to see them.
If you take the contactor off, take a picture with your phone first and make a diagram of the wires so you will know where everything goes when you wire the new one in. Hope this helps. Feel free to contact me if you need more help. Mark

The Inner Fam Will Not Stop Turning And Continues To Blow Un Cooled Air

Hello my name is Heath it will be my pleasure to assist you. Make sure the fan switch on the thermostat is set to auto to turn the indoor blower off. If its the outside unit that will not shut off take the cover off the thermostat and disconnect the y wire and see if the outside unit shuts off. If the unit doesn't shut off then pull the cover to the outside unit and check to be sure that the contactor is not welded shut not allowing the outside unit to shut off.

Air conditioner compressor will not shut off.

Remove the cover on the outside unit that covers the circuit board and contactor and capacitor. Then start the unit and set the thermostat so that the unit cuts off. Then go back to the outside unit and see if the contactor is still pulled in and the unit is running. Next open the breaker and see if the contactor drops out. If it doesn't your contactor could be stuck. Try to free it or replace it. If not the problem could be in the circuit board.
