i can't delete songs i go to my play list with mp3 plugged in and it deletes from play list but not from player

Hello. I`m having the same problem and I would really appreciate some advice. The thing is that upon purchasing the player, I got a CD with Music Jukebox program which i used in order to delete my music from the player and upload the new files. I used it on my old PC with Windows XP OS. However, now I have a Vista PC and cannot use the same program on this computer. Can I download the Vista version from somewhere, by the way?

So now, in order to delete files, I just open the player in My Computer and use the Delete button. However, for some reason, now the folders on Opal cannot be deleted. I receive the message "The device has either stopped responding or has been disconnected" with Skip, Skip All, Cancel. What should I do in order to get rid of these folders forever?

The folders on the player are empty when I open them, however, when I use the player, the music files which these folders contain are played. This is so weird. And, by the way, the player does not have much free space because of these "empty" folders. Please I really need some help. How do I delete the files and upload the new ones?

To delete songs go to Start on the bottom left hand on your computer, go to My Computer, after plugging Opal in it should read on there and say Opal. left click go to Open and all the songs will apear. just highlight them by clicking once and pushing delete or left click and delete from drop down menu

I am trying to delete songs from my MP3 player and it won't let me. Am I missing something to do this? It's an RCA Opal M4002A Model. I bought it a while ago and am wondering if I should have the driver...

Try this method, it works well...
Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, Apps,etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
BE CAREFUL and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.

I need to knpw how to delete songs from M4002A

Usually with this model it will show up under My Computer as either a drive (for example E: drive) or the actual MP3 player device. Either way you should be able to double click on it and in there you will find the songs. You can select the ones you want and hit delete on your keyboard. If this does not work please let me know =).

What song service supports rca opal m4002a mp3 player. napster doesn't work?

Not iTunes. Not Napster.
You could try Rhapsody's MP3 ONLY service - new!
Limewire works, but make sure you anti-virus program is up-to-date.

The key is to use Mp3 format only, and most music services have switched to WMA format.

Opal rca mp3 m4002a TROUBLE!

Disable the auto-sync option in Windows Media Player, and then delete the songs again from Windows Media Player. If auto-sync is not disabled, then those songs will never go away.

Call RCA, and find out if you are still in warranty. Except in rare locations like Philadelphia, there is no Mp3 repair svc that will fix this problem.

RCA Opal M4002A Need screen

I have an Opal 2GB mp3 player just like yours and I accidentaly busted the screen on it, so I e-mailed the RCA company, they e-mailed me back telling me that I voided the warranty, and I would have to send it back and pay 55 dollars to get a new one, because they don't sell the individual screens.

I hope this helps.
