Putting pictures on mailing labels

I have put pictures on my mailing labels with my old printer before, but with this new printer, each icon says I need a disk for each picture, which of course I don't have. What do I do?

Re: Putting pictures on mailing labels

Are you using word for your labels? If so, you can insert a picture when you are doing the set up for the address box. Try doing a mail merge, so you can the setup for your address block.

If this was helpful, please rate me. Thanks, Patty

I am using a Zebra S4M Thermal printer with Zebra brand labels. I changed out the roll of labels with a new roll and it will not print. It completed the task like it always does but i only get a blank...

The new labels are probably not thermal labels. Test them by applying heat to the surface and see if they turn black. If they do not change, then they are thermal transfer labels and not direct thermal. Contact your label vendor and have them replaced.

How do I get my hp deskjet 6940 to print labels. I'm trying to print Avery 5498 labels

You will have to use software to make the Microsoft Office Word, Open office Writer, or Microsoft Works. In MS Office Word (2003) go to tools->letters and mailings -> envelope and lables. Create the label you need.

If you use open office, go to File->New->Labels and create the label you need.

After which, you put the paper in the printer and print them out. May want to check out the size so you make sure it prints correctly.

-best of luck

Brother P-Touch 1200 label printer doesn't feed whole label

Take out your cartridge and look at the end of the tape, it should be under the guide, the skinny bar, before going into your machine. Make sure you tuck it in under that bar and it should be OK.

Remove both cartriges and on the top left there will be a button. Push and remove the printhead. Net, take the new one and insert it, pushing on the thumb picture. Reinsert cartriges and align.

Epson c84 printer not printing after installing new ink cartidges

Hi, Linda
You may buy cartriges of different producers.
Depending on producer on them can be or be not special yellow detachable labels.
These are an yellow labels must be removed from them. Then put cartridges back. And try to clean head 4-5 times. And check nozzle test.
Good luck.

Xerox 6180 MFP's cyan cartridge isn't recognized

There are a number of possible causes of this.

1. Faulty chip on the cartridge, or badly fitted chip.
It will look obviously 'odd' if the chip is incorrectly fitted to such an extent that contact cannot be made between the cartridge chip and the printer. If it looks OK, and you still have the old cartridge, try swapping the chip (complete in its 'carrier') from the new one onto it. If the stays, it's the chip. Confirm this by putting the OLD chip back on the OLD cartridge, and you should get a different message telling you the catridge is empty.

2 Broken cartridge (I've seen quite a few like this - see pictures - the broken one had probably been dropped).

First picture - undamaged cartridge, note 'lug'.

Second picture - missing 'lug' (cartridge has probably ben dropped)

There is an opto sensor that checks the presence of the cartridge by 'looking for' this lug. The matching one at the other end of the cartridge has no effect.
It is possible to glue a broken lug back onto the cartridge, if the lug is missing, make something that matches the overall size and profile and glue that on - make sure the glue has set/hardened fully before putting the cartridge into the printer.

3 Faulty circuit board, or sensor in printer.

If you've tried the instructions under 1, and the error message stays the same through all the combinations of OLD chip, OLD cartridge, NEW chip, NEW cartridge, AND 2 is not applicable, this is where you are. It could be the opto sensor that 'looks' for the cartridge - you could 'short' this out (be careful to do this on the correct side of the device). Otherwise its a circuit board problem.

How do you print No. 10 envelopes?

If you have Microsoft Word go to "Tools", "Letters and Mailings", then "Envelopes and Labels". Usually it will even show you, for your printer, exactly how and where to place you envelope. If you are in doubt, just a blank piece of paper to set it up. Be sure to mark the paper with an arrow so you know which side and which end when into the printer first.
