Design of the cleaner tool? I lost mine and need

A tear in the hose will only affect pick up through the hose when using it to clean furniture, stairs, and such. It will have no effect on the carpet cleaning operation. If the hose cannot be replaced for a while, black electrical tape is one solution to seal the crack.

Tow it to a shop. there not much you can do without a scanner, tools and know how.

Cam chain shoes? Get it checked ASAP. If the shoe(s) fail completely, you are in for a big expense as it spreads broken pieces throughout the motor by poor design.

There is a clog somewhere.

Most likely at any bends or where the hose enters the main body of the vac.

Make sure it's unplugged.
Romove the hose, stretch it out straight and see if you can see through it.

If there arer any hard piped bends try running a pipe cleaner through it to see where the blockage is.

Again, it's likely where the hose base meets the vac housing.

Needle nose pliers com in handy for pulling out string, hair, rig fibers pet fur etc.
