If the fans aren't running, it's the power supply. if the amber is on and the button's won't turn it on, there is an obstruction under the button panel. if all turns on but the lamp and you don't hear a high=pitched whir, it's the colorwheel. if you do, it's the ballast.

Light does not come on, fan is working and green light at top keeps blinking off and on on a LP70 infocus projector

if you hear a high-pitched whir, the problem is either the ballast or the lamp. if you don't, it's the colorwheel. you could try to get the parts from an infocus service center or send it in to them for repair. either way, try av solutions in ny. they're really good.

LP70 Infocus Projector light will not start up

if you don't hear a high-pitched whir, the colorwheel needs to be replaced. if you do, it's either the lamp or ballast. if the lamp is new, replace the ballast. you can get the parts if you want to do it yourself, or you'll have to send it in. either way, try av solutions in ny. they are an infocus service center and they're really good.

I have infocus lp70 model projector. i replaced the bulb and now it won't light. i put back in the old bulb and the light still wont come on...any ideas? You can tell that the projector wants to run and is...

if you don't hear a high-pitched whir, your colorwheel needs replacing. you can remove the lamp and see the colorwheel inside (colored glass wheel). if you turn it on without the lamp, the colorwheel should still spin. if it does, you have a ballast problem. if not, the colorwheel. you'd still need to send it in to an infocus authorized service center. try av solutions in ny. they're pretty good.

Wont light up

the colorwheel needs replacing. if the colorwheel won't spin, the lamp won't light. if you hear a high-pitched whir, the colorwheel works, which means there is a power supply issue. there is a fix for that, but you have to be good at soldering. if you are give it a try:

InFocus LP70 projector is running hot

clean the dust out of it with canned air. the dust keeps in the heat that the projector is trying to expell. it also shortens the life of the lamp.

LP70 lamp will cycle on and off in 3 min. intervals.

go into the menu and check the lamp hours. if it's over 2000, you need to replace the lamp. if it isn't, the power supply and/or ballast is starting to fail.

Infocus projector lp70

in order for the lamp to strike and stay on, the fans and the colorwheel must be spinning and up to speed. if you remove the lamp and start it up, see if the 2 fans are spinning. and look inside to see if the colorwheel (a colored glass disk) is spinning. you'll also be able to hear a high-pitched squeal coming from it. unfortunately, you'll need to take it in to a repair center to have them replaced.

Why does picture brightness change up and down on LP70.

Hi there

Sounds like the lamp is going , but it could be the Ballast as well ( lamp's powersupply ) Rather have a certified technician look at.

Infocus LP70 - It's all Green

A tinted image (whether green or another color) is almost always a symptom of a bad or damaged cable - or a loos cable connection. In your case, you'll likely need a new M1 to VGA cable (Part# SP-DVI-A-R).

Assuming that you've made sure that the cable connections are solid at both ends, there is a simple test to verify that this is a cable issue and not a costly projector issue. While the image is tinted green, open the menu. If the menu colors appear fine while the rest of the image is still tinted green it's the cable.
