Question about HP Laser Jet Printer P3005dn

1 Answer

Manual Tray feed is only printing skewed- everything was fine - toner cartridge was really running out and we had no new one so we change the cartridge for a used one with some toner left. I was send two pages from the manual tray, realized I did not want to print on that paper and pulled it out just before it grabbed. However, it did say "paper jam." Now whenever I put any paper into the manual tray it is printing skewed- tipped to the left. Any ideas how to fix? I tried cleaning - powering down and back up - nothing seems to work. I'm thinking its tied to that dumb paper grab on my part.

HP 4250 SKEWING PAPER

Yes, it is possible to be the problem. Most of the time you would replace the whole fixing unit, it could also be the paper feed rollers in the paper tray or the manual feed tray. Good Luck

How do you eliminate a line going through each page

Run a 1/2 print test.
Put paper in the manual feed tray (tray 1).
Print something. When the paper feeds 1/2 way into the printer, open the top cover.
Remove the toner cartridge and look down at the paper. If you see the line, replace the toner.
If there is no line, then the problem is probably the fuser.

My HP 4ML has been printing fine until recently. Every print job, big or small, the first couple of pages print the pages mostly black, then start to fade the more pages I print in the same print job. ...

You didn't say that you swapped out the toner.
Let's come back to that point later.

Put paper in the manual feed tray.
Print something.
As soon as the paper feeds halfway into the printer, open the top cover.
Pull out the toner, look down at the paper. Is it mostly black?
If the answer is yes....replace the toner.
Vacuum out the inside of the printer and print again.
I think you have a bad toner cartridge

Black ink streak on left side of paper on hp 1012, just put in new toner

Run a half test.
Put paper in the manual feed tray(tray 1).
Send a print job to printer. When the paper gets 3/4 of the way into the printer, open the cover. Pull out the toner cartridge, look down at the sheet inside the printer. Does it have the streak on the left side? If yes...your toner cartridge is bad. If no...replace the fuser.

Lexmark E332n- Changed toner cartridge and now off alignment How do you cartridge align

It is fairly common in this model for the paper size guides in the paper tray to shift outwards, allowing the paper to skew feed as it is being fed into the printer,

Pull out your paper tray, and make sure the adjustable paper guides on the left and right sides of the tray fit up snugly to the paper in the tray.

try this, good luck.

I have a HP LaserJet 1320tn, after I changed the cartridge I keep getting paper jams just about where the paper meets the cartridge

Hi if you says that the paper gets jam at the fuser meeting point than i m sure that registration assembly which register the paper with toner cartridge is not working properly this is internal hardware fault.
It may caused due to faulty pickup assembly too.
There is a small **** manual feed tray try to print using manual feed and check if the problem persists then registration assembly is faulty if the it print fine from manual feed than Tray 2 pickup assembly or pickup roller is faulty.

Print fragmented documnts

Step1
If you're setting up the printer or changing the toner or ink cartridge for the first time, double-check the instructions to make sure that you installed the cartridge correctly and, for new printers, that you have removed all the pieces of cardboard or plastic packing material.
Step
2
Check to see whether paper is feeding from the paper tray. If it's not leaving the tray at all, try feeding a page manually (if that's an option) or using a different paper tray. Sometimes a problem with the tray can be traced to a broken spring or a piece of plastic.
Step
3
If paper is feeding from the tray but jamming in the printer, examine where the jam is occurring and then inspect the printer carefully to see if you can find what is causing the problem. A piece of paper, for instance, might be blocking the paper path.
Step
4
If paper is feeding through the printer but coming out blank, check to see whether the printer is out of toner or ink. A defective toner or ink cartridge could be the problem.

Printer Printing Crooked!

try printing from the multi purpose tray...do you get the same problem...if not you can narrow the problem down to the paper tray area...try changing main pickup roller and separation pad. If problem is present printing from either tray then the next place I would go is to the registration assembly (flapped unit that resides under the toner cartridge). The job of the part is to line the paper up before it feeds further in to the printing process. You could also do whats called a 1/2 test...put paper in the mp tray, do a print and when there is only about 2-3 inches of the paper sticking out the mp tray open the toner lid...lift out the toner cartridge and see if paper is skewed before entering the fuser. It really does sound like the registration assembly.
