My original wii remote was working but now the lights dont come on i know the console is fine as my other remotes work fine can i repair my remote

Press a button on the Wii Remote, and if the lights blink, but don't stay on, then it might have a problem connecting to your Wii and you may have to re-sync it. If the lights do not come on at all, try changing the batteries to a completely new pair. If the lights still do not come on, part of the Wii Remote may be damaged and you may just have to use a different one.

The control lights of my wii just keep flashing but the controls don't do nothing to the wii, I try new bateries and still don't work

First, remove the battery cover for the Wii Remote
Then open the small panel on the front of your Wii console
While holding down the sync button on the controller, press the sync button located under the small panel on the console, wait a moment, your contoller should then be synced.

Can I use the remote control that came with my VizioTV (Model# XVT423SV) to control the PS3 and the Bose CineMate Series II speaker system?

I don't think that you are able to do this. I know that Sony sells its own remote to control the PS3. However, if you get a universal remote from an electronics store you might be able to do both the speaker system as well as the television with one remote, limiting your number of remotes down to 2. Last I checked, the PS3 Blu-Ray remote was under $20, and you can find cheap universal remotes as well, probably for less than that.

I can not sync my Controller to my ps3 console. I tried using the USB cord and it will not connect. I purchased a brand new controller and still the same results. What am I missing?

Easy fix! Here's what you do:

Start with everything off, connect your PS3 remote to the cord and plug it into your PS3.

You are going to need something pretty thin, like a pencil lead, toothpick, or something semi-pointy with a decent size tip. I use a paperclip.

Turn your PS3 on by hand, running your finger over the power opening (Don't know the technical term for this hole...) and let it completely boot up

Once your main screen is loaded, press the center PS button on your remote. The 4 red lights will start flashing. Take the pointy end of your (paperclip/toothpick/other pointy object) and insert it into the tiny hole on the top back of the remote, press it in like your pushing an internal button. It should be right behind the 4 red lights - either way - it's the only little hole you have on it. Hold it in for a few seconds.

The controller will process, and if done correctly, will sync with your PS3.

If you have any other problems let me know. Enjoy!

Respectfully,

Don

What causes the remotes to stop responding to the system

There could be a few things.

1) if your Wii remote has a fresh pair of batteries you may need to sync it again.

2) This is the one that happend to me - The Wii Jacket wasn't on correctly and was covering the front; anything covering the front of the remote will cause it not to work.

3) If it doesn't have a new pair of batteries, consider switching them out.

4) Wii bar - if anything is in front of the Wii bar - anything preventing you from having a straight line from remote to sensor - this will cause it not to work.

If this doesn't help you completely, please let me know the problem a little more specifically. I would like to help you in any way I can - video game consoles are my expertise. I ask for a good rating to show that I'm on the right track and that you're pleased with the answer.

Respectfully,

- Don

I've tried 'synchronising' my two new wii remotes, no luck !!

The best known way to see if the Wii remote is synced is if the P1 light at the bottom of the remote stays lit. I'm not sure if there's a way of knowing if the Wii remote is synced correctly.
