Question about Motorola HT1000, MTS2000, MTX8000/9000 Compatible 2 Way Radio Battery Eliminator
The radio can only be programmed or adjusted by the use of a computer and the proper software. What exactly is it doing or not doing? Do you keep it on the charger all the time?

If it is used on a Trunked or Conventional radio system, the administrator of the radio system can disable the radio over the air (Radio goes dead) or if a trunked radio he can also stop it accessing the trunked system (sometimes you may receive but you cannot access the system with a PTT). It can only really be re-enabled on that radio system by Administrator as they usually leave the disable function ON for suspect radios. On certain systems they can keep track of the radio ie: when it's switched on, what channel and sometimes even covertly switch it to Transmit & listen.
They normally will only do a disable with a lost or stolen radio.
