I can't use my ipod.. pressed SCR and only tuner and standby is displayed
I can't use my ipod.. pressed SCR and only tunnr and standby is displayed. I've read the manual and still don't get it.
I plug in my Ipod in the aux input using the correct cable. Then press he SRC button. Only the "tuner and standby" is displayed. How do I get to the part where I can select AUX/AUX EXT so that I can listen to the Ipod?

I have a kdc 135 and i had the same problem. you have to go to standby mode, then hold down the menu button until MENU appears. then toggle up or down with the button on the right and it will say aux. then toggle left or right to turn aux on/off and then after that when you hit source it will come up as an option.

If the system is connected properly and the main tuner power is on you will see the orange standby light on in the front of the main diamond shaped control unit. If that light is not on, you have not connected the system and power cables properly.
If the standby light is not lit, press the power on/off button in the middle of the rectangular processor/tuner to turn it off and unplug the main power cord from the main tuner/processor from the wall. Next, ensure that all of the power, video and audio cables from the diamond shaped control unit are properly connected to the large tuner/processor. Since you are there, check any other av in/out connections.
Now that you have checked and adjusted the cables between the controller and the tuner, plug the tuner back into the wall and push the power on button. Now check the standby light again on the diamond shaped controller unit.
Once that light is lit, press the silver, horizontal on button in the middle of the diamond shaped display unit, or the Power Standby/On button on your main remote control and you are operational.
Press the SRC button to turn unit on. The SRC button allows you to navigate between input sources,i.e. tuner, cd, aux, etc. Press and hold SRC button for second to turn unit off ( it will display standby).
When in standby mode (press and hold power button to enter standby), press MODE. Now press |<< TUNE/SKIP >>| to set 12-hour or 24-hour display mode. Press MODE to confirm display setting. The display flashes. Press |<< TUNE/SKIP >>| again to set the hour, then press MODE. Press |<< TUNE/SKIP >>| to set minutes, then press MODE to confirm the time.
hi their u might have to go into options on ur head deck try holding down a button to display options and hopefully theirs aux input!!!! and make sure ur pluggin into the ipod is in ur earfones hope that sorta helps u cheers.
Are you sure it is an AUX input?
According to the Manufacturers Specs, the AUX, is an optional accessory.
There is a Pre-Amp connection, which would be an output, hence causing the problem you are having.
Best of Luck.
Try putting the unit in standby via the "SRC" button FIRST..., then press the menu button and cycle through to the "AUX 1" option and activate this....then press menu button again. When the unit is next switched on, you should have an "AUX" option accessible via the "SRC" button which will cycle through all of the availale modes ....standby-tuner-cd-aux etc etc.
You'll need to turn the auxiliary function on in the setup menu. Press Source to put the unit in Standby, then press and hold the Menu button for at least 1 second. Press the control switch toward AM or FM until the AUX setting comes up, then press the control switch toward <<< or >>> to change the setting to ON.
