SOURCE: I have a Simpson electric

You need to change the "Simmerstat", take the model number to your local electrical parts supplier/parts counter at your local stove retail shop that sells Simpson stoves and ask for one for that model, make sure you get the right one for the position as some control a single element and some control dual elements.

*** TURN OFF THE WALL SWITCH AND ENSURE NO POWER IS APPLIED TO THE STOVE BEFORE PROCEEDING ****
Remove the upper back panel of the stove. Swap wire for wire of the old simmerstat to the new one, remove the knob from the old Simmerstat, undo the nut securing the simmerstat in the oven control panel and discard, fit new one, secure, fit knob, fit back panel, turn on wall switch and test.

Some countrys/states require registered electricians perform this task on electrical appliances so you must ensure you can do this legally before you start and take the relevant safety precautions and don't electrocute yourself.

SOURCE: Simpson Apollo can't set clock so oven won't work

I don't know if this will help. For the 720ef , this is what you need to do.
There are five buttons on the clock panel and from left to right they are:- Minute Minder, Cook time, Ready Time, Plus and Minus.
TO SET THE TIME OF DAY
Press the Cook Time button and the Ready Time button simultaneously. Use the Plus and Minus buttons to set the time.(24hr clock).
TO SELECT AN ALARM TONE.
Press the Minus button to listen to the first tone. Release it and press it again to listen to the second tone etc (3 tones)
Releasing the button after the tone has sounded will automatically set that tone.
SETTING THE MINUTE MINDER.
Press the Minuter Minder button and either the Plus or Minus buttons simultaneously to set the time.
You can cancel the timer at any time by setting it back to 00.00 by using the Minus button.
After setting, the display will revert to the time of day, but by pressing the Minute Minder button again, the display will show the remaining time.
If you want all the information, then it is best if you supply a vaild email address and this will give you access to my BT Digital Vault, where you can have a complete copy of the handbook that I have scanned in.

My oven is not working, every thing else is. simpson neptune thanks

You need to get a meter that measures ohm and unplug the stove and take the back off, you use the meter to check the heating elements. They do burn out.

I have a Simpson Neptune stove 2U602W which needs new simmerstats.

If the connectors are in the same pattern, you can ignore the numbers and go by the position of the connectors, so top left on the old, would go to top left on the new.

You could ask the maker direct.

Simpson stove has 2 2PH, 1 N and 1 E poles, but power lines only 3 wires-1 red, 1 black and 1 green. How to connect the wires to stove.

I believe the proper sequence is red to ph1 black to ph 2 and green to N and ground. Newer ovens do require a 4 wire plug and this is th esetup for them

Simpson Neptune, atlas series electric oven isn't working.

Hi If you have Simpson Neptune 3U 602 then it may be to do with the timer function. This also happened with my oven.

There is a red section on the face of the clock. The oven seems to work if it shows the hand icon. I'm not sure what it symbolises yet, as it's a new oven for me, but it is now working. You can change the icons by turning the left nob left and right. Hope this helps.

I have an old Simpson fabulous 300 bench top stove in our beach house. We are unable to get the oven to work at full power. We have fiddled with the timer dials in the past and always get it going but it...

First of all, thank you very much Lindsay for choosing FIXYA today for your online technical support needs.

I'm Joe, and I will be more than happy to assist you with your service request.

Unfortunately a User's Manual for that particular SIMPSON appliance is no longer available.

However the problem is most likely that your TIMER has been set to AUTO which will prevent the oven from functioning. The timer needs to be set in the MANUAL mode.

Here are a few links to some other online resources which describe the various procedures for setting the clock and switching the timer mode which may help with your particular problem:

Just use your mouse to click on the links, which are the underlined and blue highlighted sections of text just above. This will open a new web browser page automatically for you and allow you to view the information at the websites indicated.

I truly apologize Lindsay for not being able to provide you with the exact support documentation that you requested, but unfortunately on occasion the desired material is simply not available online.

I still hope this was at least somewhat helpful to you.

Good luck and take care.

Simpson 2001 series upright electric stove oven does not get hot only gets warm

It could be the oven element (behind the cover plate in the back of the oven), or the fan not blowing the heat into the oven.
