If you are a Tmobile customer, call them and tell them your going out of the country and need it unlocked. They never question this. They will need your IMEI number and they will send you and email within 24-48 hours with the unlock codes. They have been known unfortunately though, unable to unlock some models and never explained why not. Other wise there is the unlock paid services available at sites such as ebay

My imei is 862990011189890 pls. send it to me my unlock code.

It don't work like that. If your phone is locked to a carrier you have to go to that carrier and request they unlock it for you(different carriers have different stipulations on if they will unlock a phone or not, so you gotta check with them) or pay a site to unlock your phone (again, most sites will only unlock your phone if the account associated with the phone is paid, in good standing, and generally out of contract, and also not black listed (reported stolen)). Generally you are wasting your money doing it that way because most of those sites require the same things the carrier require to unlock the device, but some can do blacklisted phones and other unlocks, but some may also be scams and it's not easy to tell which are legit and which are scams. Best bet would be go through your carrier (or carrier that the phone is locked to, if it's not your carrier).

Hi you can unlock your mobile by unlock codes and its the safe and best way of unlocking..and also i suggest you not to go for free unlocking since the code generated for free may go wrong sometimes..for unlock code you can contact your provider or can get it from online providers..one of my friend got unlock code for my mobile from theunlockspot and unlocked his mobile..you can too try getting codes from them to unlock your mobile

Since I bought my phone (W6930, Blackberry) I don't know what's the phone lock code thus I wanted to know whats the phone lock code for it so that I can have privacy from my friends.

Most cellphone carriers lock the phones so that they canonly be used by there own customers. For example, if you tried to use aT-Mobile phone with a Cingular service plan, it wouldn't likely work. Anunlocked phone is simply one that the carrier has not locked. Since most cellphones are sold through the carriers, at a subsidized price, they need to havesome assurance that you will not leave without completing your contract and goto another carrier. To unlock a phone, is to simply enter the correct codes sothat it will work with any carrier. It is possible to both buy unlocked phones,as well as unlock existing codes. Buying an unlocked phone would typically meanbuying it from someone other than a carrier.i got unlock code from here http://www.prounlocking.com/and unlocked my mobile..

How do I unlock my htc dream cell phone? I bought it at a store that told me it was interchangeble through different carriers.

Have you ever tried to change your sim card? If yes and your phone starts normally with the new sim card then its okay but if it's asking for an unlocking code then the store where you buy your phone is lying to you. You now need to unlock it so that it will accept different carriers or sim cards. You will need the phone 11 digit IMEI number and present this to any unlocking service center. You can also find an phone unlocking services in the internet.

Good Luck!

Hope this helps..

Just need the subsidy code for my samsung t429(on t-mobile) trying to unlock and use for boost...thanks

HI

A restriction code is numeric code (password) that prevents a user from accessing certain technical settings of a phone. It is specifically designed to prevent a phone from being reprogrammed to work with a different carrier (service provider).

This is what is usually meant when a phone is referred to as "locked". There are also "unlocked" phones that can be reprogrammed to work with a different carrier.

The reason for this system is the way phones are often sold. Many phones are sold below cost, (at a loss to the carrier,) with the expectation that the money will be recouped in the cost of the monthly service plan. The up-front loss that is later recouped is called a Subsidy.

For this to work financially for the carrier, the user must not buy the phone and then use it with a different carrier. The MSL makes that nearly impossible.

Unlocked phones are ususally much more expensive than locked phones, because there is no subsidy to offset the cost.

You should ask the operator for the restriction code

Unlockes the phone

There are a couple of ways to do this, one is completely safe and the other is fairly safe, but may require you to mail the phone in to someone to have this done.

The best way is if you are still a T-Mobile customer, to call them and have some good reason to use it on a different carrier. The best excuse is that you will be traveling overseas and want to use carriers there so the calls will be cheaper. Do not let on that you will be switching carriers. They did my Razr for me and it took about 3 days for the code. When you call customer service, just tell them that you want to submit a sim unlock request. They will transfer you to a different department. They will gather info (like the phones serial number) and will email you the unlock code. Their website says that they will only unlock one phone per account every 90 days. But they unlocked 2 phones for me in the same phone call (both were razr's). Once you unlock it it can be used on any carrier except Verizon and Sprint (different technologies). Then just switch carriers. For more info on this you can go to T-Mobile.com and type in "sim unlock request" in the search box.

The other way, which may include mailing your phone to a stranger is having someone unlock it for you. There are services on-line that will do this. Some can do it without mailing the phone to them. But some require you to mail it to them so they can unlock it with a cable instead of the code. The usual cost is about $20.00

But the best way if you are not with T-Mobile anymore is to call around to authorized retailers and ask if the unlock phones. Some do it for about $20 (but no mailing it in risk) and some do it for free is you sign up to a new carrier through them. They want your business any way they can get it.

Subsidy code

Phones are locked to their carrier so you cannot switch carriers with that phone. The subsidy code is a code that will unlock the phone so it can be used on different carriers. You can get that code from the previous carrier if they are nice enough. But most won't because you are not a customer anymore. Here is a way i recommended a T-mobile customer to get their phone unlocked for cingular.:
