Check the antennas make sure that they are secure and that their connection is not corroded. If you can down grade the firmware to an older version and see if that solves the problem. Also try reinstalling the firmware maybe it did not configure correctly.
The school's network has a firewall setup to prevent students going into facebook and other restricted sites. You are not suppose to bypass it. If you want to play online games etc. the do it from your home.
To recover your Firebox X Edge e-Series device, you must first reset the Edge to its factory default settings, and then FTP the Edge v10.x appliance software to the Edge. To set the Firebox X Edge e-Series to the factory default settings:
Disconnect the power supply.
Hold down the Reset button on the rear side of the Edge.
Connect the power supply while you continue to hold down the Reset button.
Continue to hold down the button until the yellow Attn light stays on. This shows you that the Edge was successfully restored to the factory default settings. This process can take 45 seconds or more.
To FTP the Edge v10.x appliance software to the Edge:
Copy the Edge v10 upgrade file (yakfw.sysa-dl) to the root of your C: drive.
Edit the network settings on your computer so that it is part of the 192.168.111.0/24 subnet.
Connect your computer to any of the LAN interfaces on the Edge.
Open a command prompt. To open a command prompt, select Start > Run. Type cmd and press Enter.
Type ftp 192.168.111.1 and press Enter. When prompted, enter the user name admin and the password admin. Press Enter.
Type bin. Press Enter.
Type put yakfw.sysa-dl. Press Enter.
Type bye. Press Enter.
Type exit. Press Enter. The command prompt window closes.
