Usually the high pitch noiese like this indicate some kind of power supply problem. The power supplies inside are called "switching power supplies" and if they're overloaded will make the kind of sound you describe. It sounds like there's a serious problem within. Probably should have it serviced.

If you had an older set, I'd say the flyback transformer has malfunctioned, but I don't think they're in todays set.

Makes a sqeeking noise while turning or on bumps

Suspension problem like a rubber bushing. Try recreating it, have some one push up and down on the front fenders one at a time, asuming the noise comes from the front. Try and spot where is coming from, if the part looks good spray it with lubricant not penetrating oil. Is best to replace what ever is making the noise.

Philips 42fd9954-175

Hi, and unfortunately I am facing the same issue. My TV blinks GREEN LED for a few seconds then starts flashing RED led. The result I hear from this is that it is the SSB Panel and the estimated cost for service is $600.00 it sounds like you are STARTING with the problem. I began that way too. If you are under warranty, call Philips NOW!

No Picture

The convergence IC's could be loading down the SMPS. Or it could have shorted a componet in the supply. if your not trained in solid state electronics, please seek out a repair shop to assist you with this repair. Good Luck
