Hello

I am presuming that you are using realtek HD audio aplication, cause this happaned to me once...
So if you are using this aplication, this might be a fix for your problem.

Right click on the realtek icon at the right in the start bar
Click on sound manager
Go to the heading, speaker configuration
Set the speaker config to one of the other options, depending on how much speakers you use.

Really hope this can help you.

Best regards

Im trying to hook up my radio to a 93 ford mustang and ive got power and i got the speakers hooked up right but i dont have any sound

Is the radio powering up?
Have you tested the continuity to the speakers (disconnect speakers and use multimeter on low ohms across speaker wires, you might also hear a crackle if speakers are ok)?
If you dont have a meter use a small preferrably used battery (take one out of the tv remote) and dab across the speaker wires briefly, you should hear a click from the speaker.Make sure the speaker is disconnected from the radio when you do this!
Have you connected the ground?
Did the the radio ever work?
Have you connected the antenna?
have you tried any old small speaker hooked up to the radio output?
Ahhh questions questions....

Hi..im having kenwood home stereo model no.xd-v818 as i had described it earlier about the sound distortion in high volume about 80..and i got a helpful advise from Mr.Markfreedman...but i discovered that...

We're talking about an all-in-one package here. These types of products don't generally lend themselves to swapping out parts like speakers and expecting good results.

This link gives some good large pictures from all angles.

.. .shows the amplifier outputs. The blue connectors go to subs, which in the original speakers coexist in the same enclosures as the so-called front speakers (red).

Unfortunately, the link for the manual is dead.

Your previous 'distortion' issue, for all we know at this writing, could have been due to miswiring those two functions.

Without knowing what "addtional speakers" were added to the unit and if they were designed for this unit, your results regarding loudness and sound quality would be questionable and unreliable.

I have hooked by two bose 161 speakers using 14 gauge speaker wire (about 8 feet) to sony str-dg720. But I get absolutely no sound from the speakers. I have hooked the speakers to port A set of input...

You gots ta isolate the problem.  Disconnect the speakers and hook them up to a stereo you know that works.  If you don't hear sound coming out of the speakers, then you know the speakers are fu.k.d up, so you need to look on the speakers to see if there is a fuse that is blown that needs to be replaced.  If you got sound coming through, then disconnect them and hook them back to the original stereo making sure you got a good connection and all the wires are in good and tight.  Then turn your stereo on and go through the various channels like Tuner, Tape Deck, Aux, and DVD to see if you get any sound.  Also turn the volume knob up. If you don't get any sound after all this, you know there is something wrong with the stereo your using.

Front door speakers don't work.

it sound as if the front speaker channel has gone out. You could try disconnecting the power to the cd player, wait 5 minutes and hook it back up. Also, you could try adjusting the fade control from front to back and see if you get any sound, but it really does sound like the channel has gone out

Need to hook up to a 4000 watt amp

Why would you hook up 4000 watt amp to a speaker that has only 1000 watts. Try a 800 watt amp instead unless you just dont want the spealers.

My car radio dont work

I am sure that the radio fuse was checked to see if power is actually going to the radio? The next thing to check is the multipin plug on the back of the radio. If it was removed sometimes the pins get bent when plugged back in. Make sure all pins are clean and straight. Try to disconnect wires that were changed to install the amp and put everything back to original and see if the radio works. The amp should have a direct connection to the battery with its on fuse correct? Depending on the amp if new or used may have internal problems and will have to be sent back to the manufacturer for repair. Hopefully when the wiring is put back to normal in the vehicle the radio should work, unless the amp load has damaged the output transistors to the original radio. Good luck.
