I am being sent mp3 files via text from my mom to use as ringtones on my phone. Some of them are being saved to my ringtones, and others aren't. The ones that aren't are showing up in my ATT music, but not as a ringtone file. Is there any way to remedy this?

Hi!

I'd like to tell you that each phone has got its' own limitations on the file size for the ringtones.

If the MP3 music files that are sent to you exceeds that supported file size for ringtones then it is saved as music files.

In this case, you may make sure that the MP3 file size being set to you to use as ringtone don't exceed the supported size.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Possibly Not - I had the same issue with a Motorockr and I contacted customer service but they told me some items may be copyrighted and those in particular would not be able to be used as ringtones but you could still listen to them as a mp3 or midi file. I know Motorola has a program called Motorola Phone Tools and that program is suppose to allow you to make your own ringtones but I am not sure if LG has a similiar program or not.

I can't save ringtones via email attachment to my i425

Boost Mobile does not accept ringtones from 3rd parties, whether its sent via email or mp3 attachment. U might want to try sending it through the SMS. Maybe u can save it that way. Only way I've been able to get ringtones is thru the Boost site only. No "free ringtone" websites are able to send ringtones thru a message, cuz Boost blocks this. And Ive tried them all. Until they provide us with phones with SD cards, were outta luck, sorry.

I have the lg keybo and i cant get my sounds to become ringtones this doesn't work with the LG Keybo, only the enV2, Keybo can't save sounds as ringtones. I have been looking for a solution for a while,...

Hiya, my wife has the same phone.. everything works and the way to get your mp3's as a ringtone is what I found easier to do like my LG dare.. which is to edit, compress the mp3 file and send it via text attachment from your vzpix account to your phone, from there you can save the attachment and modify it's use on your phone as a ringtone. Aloha!

Making your own ringtones, not using verizon

Any sound, including recorded sounds, that are sent offers the option to save as ring tone upon opening the file. You do not have to send as a picture file.

Highlight the sound under your sounds file, select "send", and send it to your own number. When you receive it, open it and select options. One option (scroll down) is to save as a ringtone.

I do this all the time, so it absolutely works.
